quick & cheap fix

This covered our old butcherbock desktop very well. It did take 3 coats. My only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that it is a bit tricky to smooth on. Its almost a glue like consistency, makes it quick difficult to spread on. Otherwise two coats would have done the trick. It also smells awful, we had both our front & back doors open to pull air through. Took a few hours for the smell to go away. Otherwise, $20 is a lot cheaper than replacing a top!

Takes a lot longer to dry than in the instructions

Used this on old Formica yellowed countertops after sanding and cleaning with soap and water. The first coat went on fairly easily and when it dried it had very minimal imperfections. It looked pretty decent and I was quite pleased with it. There was just a few spots where it bubbled, but no really obvious roller marks or brush strokes. Inexpensive way to update a kitchen

I had already paid for a bunch of remodeling around the house and wasn't ready to pull the trigger on customer countertops. I bought this in light gray, had the counters sanded, cleaned, and painted in one afternoon. They look great! In the next year or two I'll revisit custom countertops but for now this is perfect. It's pretty durable too! Don't set hot pots and pans on it! (it is only paint after all)

Outstanding

I bought this product to refinish countertops to save $$$. In the end, this product not only exceeded my expectations, but it covered well and provided a durable finish. This saved me a lot of $$$ compared to replacement. The product comes in a wide assortment of colors. Aside from the strong smell which went away after a day or two, this product delivered!!!!

Great! So far!

It was easy to apply. The dry time was faster than I anticipated. Looks nice, it covered up knife marks & blemishes on the old beat up counter top surface. We'll see how it does for wear & tear, water, temperatures etc. in the next couple of weeks before using on different projects!

Worked pretty well

Did the job, pink bathroom counters are now grey. Did 2 coats with foam roller. Touch ups with foam brush didn’t look good. Really smelly leave the windows wide open. Something sat on the counter for an extended time and left indents, 6 weeks + after application. I’ll try a 3rd coat to cover those up at some point. I wouldn’t trust it in the kitchen.

Quality product. Good coverage. Was able to change color of countertop,took a little elbow grease but in the end it was worth the effort

Followed directions to the T...

I purchased this so I wouldn't have to install new countertops..well now I have to install new countertops. I followed all the directions as per the label, and even took the advise from the pros behind the paint counter and purchased a bonding primer. And after 3 days of not using my kitchen (allowing dry time between coats), plus 7 days of curing, my counters are still unusable. I purchased high quality foam rollers so I wouldn't have orange peel and still have orange peel. Here I am now 14 day...

Lousy DIY Product, Tacky Even a Week Later

My wife bought this product as a cheap DIY fix to some garage counters she didn’t like the look of. I’m a professional painter, and applied this product with a foam roller for smoothest application. This product didn’t dry evenly, and left permanent lap marks after only a few seconds. The can was too small for me to spray from with my airless sprayer... I think an HVLP sprayer is the only way you’ll have a prayer of being satisfied with this product, but how may people own an HVLP sprayer? I won...

Top value for the $!

- The laminate countertops that came with the house were 18 year old contractor grade, and were of a tacky color that clashed with the new paint job I did in the kitchen. I laid down 2 coats of "pewter gray" a year ago, a medium dark gray color. For best results, follow the directions to the letter. The coating lays down easily and a small quantity goes a long way. You will absolutely need a half-mask with HEPA filters, and need to open windows and doors for ventilation during application...

Love it!

Love the color. Does have a strong odor. So make sure you can do this when all windows can be opened. I had to use a good quality roller. I did two coats and could see roller marks. The third coat I only went one way with roller, not back and forth. Only let dry 5 min. between each coat. It has been two weeks and I still love it, but there are a few chips. I am looking into a clear coat to put on. I still have the rest of the counters to do, waiting for a nice day to open windows. Love the produ...

Great look

My wife and I painted one of our countertops with this and it looks great. The can says to vent and believe me, you want to vent with a box fan or something like that while it’s drying. The fumes are very strong. The results are amazing. Do some detailed prep work and the countertops will look great. We’ve had it on for about a week with a party for Family and friends and it held out great.

Why is this product still on the market? I wish I had read the reviews first. The smell is horrible, and after following the directions it is a pain to apply and remains tacky. Terrible Terrible product.

Exceeded expectations

I was very pleased at the outcome of this paint on my laminate countertops! A small roller was the easiest for me to apply it. I will do my master bathroom with this product! I have already recommended it to several ppl. It’s a great alternative to high priced granite.
