What Customers Are Saying
The product can provide a cost-effective solution for transforming dated countertops, but requires careful preparation and application to achieve good results. Customers who followed instructions and used high-quality tools generally had positive experiences, with the coating providing good coverage and a nice finish. However, many reported significant issues, including an overpowering odor, difficulty with application leading to bubbles or uneven coverage, and poor durability, with the paint chipping, scratching, or leaving indentations easily. The product may not live up to claims, and customers should be aware of the potential downsides and be willing to put in significant time and effort to achieve acceptable results.

Don’t buy!
Would Not RecommendDid exactly what the directions stated, waited the required amount of time for drying and curing. Chipped the very first day. Smells terrible! Use at your own risk!

Excellent!!
This product vastly improved my 1976 countertops. We applied it with a smooth foam roller and had no issues. It has held up to my three boys very nicely. (It’s been about 9 months since we redid our kitchen.) Definitely wait the full three days for it to cure before putting things back on the counter. The smell is strong, so make sure it’s well ventilated for 24-48 hours. Overall very please and will be using this product again on a bathroom counter and a desk surface.
Not Good
Would Not RecommendThere are two good reasons I disliked this product: 1) The smell was so noxious that I couldn't even finish the project. 2) The finished result did was not durable -- there are ink mark, water spots, and burns on the painted surface. Currently looking for another countertop resurfacing option.

This stuff ROCKS!
Would RecommendGotta love this product! Yes, it has a very strong smell (almost toxic) so be sure the space is well ventilated + wear a mask and gloves. Prep counter well. Use new foam roller and take your time with even- pressure strokes. Give it 2 coats and allow plenty of dry time. Lastly, per instructions, allow 3 days for it to “cure”. Turned out awesome! P.S. if you use it anywhere upright, you might see drips so stand by to smooth those out. Just sayin’...
Good stuff if applied correctly
Would RecommendFollow the instructions for good results. The product sets up pretty fast so you need to work fast. Do not apply a second coat unless the first one one is still wet or is completely dry. You will get an orange peel effect if you re coat while tacky. I would give it 5 stars if the smell was not so strong. You will need good ventilation to use this in a small room like a bathroom.

Money wasted. Did not hold up well.
Would Not RecommendIn preparing our house for sale, I used this product to cover light blue laminate kitchen countertops. The application was not difficult and the counters looked pretty nice when finished. Unfortunately, after following all directions carefully and waiting the recommended 3 days for curing, the coating began to chip within the first 2 days of gentle use, showing the original blue counters underneath. I then purchased spar urethane (another $15) and coated them, but still they chipped. Now we w...

Used this in 2 homes and love it!
Would RecommendCheap and easy with significant results, I honestly cannot recommend this stuff enough! We first used this (Color: Canvas) in our apartment to cover a very yellow, very 70's laminate counter top and backsplash- after 5 years of use and abuse there were just a few chips/cuts. We also used it to cover a tiled table. We then used it in our first house (Color: Greyto cover blue laminate counter tops and for the top of a kitchen island we built, as well as on the stove hood. The only downside to this...
Drying time
Would Not RecommendThe product is ok but you really need a week drying time for the paint to fully cure before putting anything on it.

Not durable!
Would Not RecommendPurchased this product as part of my kitchen remodel. It went on fairly well, covered nicely. I carefully followed instructions, yet the product is FAR from "scratch proof" as it states. Over a month later I am afraid to use my countertops as the product scratches off easily. I will have to purchase another prodoct and completely re do the countertops!

Love it for a budget friendly fix
Would RecommendThis is something I would definitely recommend for anyone wanting to update their existing laminate countertops without having to replace them. I chose the gray mist and the color is perfect with the white cabinets I decided to paint also. It covers well and is easy to apply. It smells horrible but I already read reviews that said as much so it was expected.

It gave my horrible pink bathroom a new life!
Would RecommendWe invested in an OLD home about 2 years ago, and our horrible pink master bath was one of the last rooms to get attention. A light sanding & 3 coats later, no more pink with gold flecks! I've been told to expect 6 years or so from the finish from friends that have used the product, and I couldn't be more thrilled will putting off installing new cabinetry that long! A little elbow grease, painter's tape, caulk, and flooring brings a whole new feel to the room. The product seems durable after t...
Renew & Refresh over Replace
Would RecommendGreat stuff. Stinks for at first but that goes away. I suggest that after preparing the surface which I suggest you do really well, put the first coat on super thick and heavy. If you decide to put on a second coat wait a few days let the first coat cure really well.

Do not recommend
Would Not RecommendPurchased this to redo our kitchen and bathroom countertops. Product went on poorly, even though we used a foam roller, as recommended. You can see the roller marks, there are little air bubbles everywhere and, despite letting it dry completely untouched for four days, everything we put on it (even a water glass) seems to leave dents or scratches. We are so disappointed.

Smells Horible; Covered Up The Issue
Would RecommendSo I knew I would have issues from the start. I had tried to use another brand of spray paint for my bathroom counter, due to the old laminate countertops. I wanted to just give them a new life to be able to sell our house. Well that was a disaster. Needless to say I had sand particles everywhere. So in came Rustoleum, I went with Pewter to cover up the mess. I had sanded the area the best I could with my sander, cleaned up with soap and water, shopvaced, and again with just water. I have since app...
Just bought this product today it did everything it was supposed to but like other people said I recommend the foam rollers and the little foam brushes very pleased especially for the price I would use this again
Well, I did it!
Would RecommendCounter looks fabulous! Glad i came here to read, because the side of can is so small, I finished last night and would have put all my "countertop" stuff back up. 3 days isn't terrible.anyhow it worked well, I foam rolled and it was easy but yes ventilate!! The odor is overwhelming so use painters mask too. But it looks so good@ wish I did it sooner! Great product, so far!!
Do not recoat in 1 hr.
First coat went on nice. Used a 4 inch foam roller and painted at 60 degrees F. It needed a second coat. We waited 1 hour to recoat per directions. First coat felt dry to the touch after 1 hr. Second coat seemed to be drying almost instantly as it was rolled on. It left a lot of roller streaks and orange peel. Counter is in a garage so we aren't overly concerned but if it was going in a kitchen it would need to be sanded and re coated. I recommend waiting the 24 hrs. rather than the 1 hr. to rec...

Roller marks very obvious- terrible
Would Not RecommendReturned to Lowe’s after first light coat with obvious roller marks- Lowe’s employee reccomended a brush with a slight nap= DISASTER— went to Home Depot and ordered a granite countertop. The recommended roller left small pieces all over the countertop- ruined the countertop!
