User-friendly

Is the first time owning a quality smoker in a grill. I have been thrilled so far of the ease to be able to smoke a dinner and at the same time or at a different time grill. I find the meat probes that are provided very helpful especially via Bluetooth. I never have to open up the cover to look at the meat. Definitely enjoy the quality heaviness of the lid in the grill in general. I feel a very fair price for a quality product.

Poor service

Lowes delivered the product damaged half assembled and the tank holder installed backwards. Called customer service who didnt care. Said the would come pick it up when I wasnt available and return it three days later. I fixed everything execpt the damage which I will have to live with on an 800 plu dollar grill.

Be sure to check all aspects of the installation.

The Pit Boss 1260 seems to work well. I have used both the grill side and the smoker side and they both worked well. The delivery guys were on time and did a great job delivering and setting up. The putting together by Lowe's was mostly done correctly but there were a couple of small issues. The bracket that holds the propane tank was installed upside down. Good grill, bad customer service.

Grill and smoker work great. Lowes customer service terrible. Grill was delivered with parts missing. Was told by a employee of Lowes to go to hardware dept and purchase bolts that were missing. Called Pit Boss and customer service was very nice. But part got shipped FedEx and naturally it got lost. Typical FedEx. Called Pit Boss again and was told I had to contact FedEx. They shipped it ,I never got it and after a lenghty discussion they agreed to ship another.

Delivery personnel were professional, polite, and took care to not damage the product.

Great Dual Purpose unit

We love this 2 sided model and have enjoyed using both the BBQ side and the smoker.

Lack of communications with the delivery team

My disappointment isn’t with the product,it was the lack of communication with the delivery team.I bought it on 5/2,suppose to be delivered 5/7.It got pushed back 3 times and no one called to let me know.I had to call myself to see what was up with the delivery to find out on the last call that it hadnt even been put together and that I wouldn’t be getting it for another 3 days.After I finally got the grill on 5/10.I still received messages all day about when I would receive it even after I alre...

Perfect size

We were waiting for this grill to go on sale to buy but decided to bite the bullet and get it. I takes some getting used to but we finally figured it all out. We like the double use, with only two of us we do not need a big smoker or grill. The grill grates are easily removed and washed.

delivery men were very nice and careful putting our Barbeque in our back yard.

Terrible Customer Service

I purchased this grill to be delivered for my husband's birthday. It was not supposed to be assembled, because I know things can get damaged in transport and delivery drivers are not always careful. It arrived fully assembled, complete with several dents and scratches. They sent a delivery confirmation email with a photo, and in the photo you can see two of the dents, so it was damaged before it even left their building.

Pro gas/pellet grill

I love that I can "dump" the pellets, and change them, and I can flame broil using a lever on the pellet side, and the gas gets all the way to 750* which worked great for Pizza. It may be too small for some folks, but we do not feel it is a problem with spatial awareness in your cooking area.

Missing part

Only used the grill side so far, but one of the igniter electrodes did not come with the grill, and one of the burner sets is unusable.

High quality and value for smoking and grilling!

The grill combo works well for smoking and gas grilling. The only issue I have is that the smoke from the smoker doesn't seem to flow well into the grill. Great idea, but doesn't work well in practice. My guess is that the temperatures are nearly equal in each grill chamber so there isn't air flow.

Pit Boss Pro Series 1260 Gray propane and pellet

I picked up my freely assembled grill and used it for the first time last night on pork chops. One of the best cooking devices I have ever used (Pellet Grill for Pork chops). The associated Pit Boss App allowed me to monitor and cook a perfect pork chop.

Best of Both Worlds for Smoking and BBQ

I bought my pit boss pro from lowes pre assembled. I've been using it for two year now and it's by far the best purchase of a bbq or smoker I've ever used. It takes up a little more room and I was worried that having both in the same unit would result in too small of a cook area in either side. Couldn't of been happier to of been wrong, It easily does 3 full slabs of ribs on the smoker side which is just right for our larger gatherings.
