Huge capacity, not great for delicates

Capacity is really large, I just washed 2 bolsters at the same time. It cleans and spins well. I was surprised how much water it gets out, the clothes feel so much less wet than with my old washer. Not for people who can hear high pitch frequencie.

Purchased this washer due to hugh rating on Consumer Reports. I really like the app...knowing when the cycle is over is helpful to me. My two major issues were noise and the detergent dispenser. On multiple occasions, the detergent dispenser was full of water after the cycle ended...not a little water, so full you couldn't add detergent. This is the worst washer we’ve ever used and we’ve used many washers. The water sensor doesn’t work, you have to stand there and babysit it to make sure that there’s enough water to cover clothing (never is) and you have to get in there during the wash cycle to push the clothes around or you’ll have detergent stains. Perfect for us

[Employee of lowes] I did a lot of research before selecting this washer. We wanted a good rated machine that was also top load, had an impellor and not too overloaded with bells and whistles. This unit fit the bill. We've been using it for a few days now, and so far it exceeds our expectations. It's quiet, does a great job cleaning our clothes, and isn't complicated. We're happy!

Not good washer machine

This washer machine has the settings only for hot water on 7 of 8 way to wash. Impossible to changed, if you don’t put attention will damage the clothes. Need to change to cold water before operating. Hard to see the board, because the LED lights its small and not enough light to see, it is necessary to turn off the lights of the laundry to assure the settings. Silence machine, auto balance,

Terrible and no way to get our money back

This is the worst washing machine I have ever used - clothes come out with visible dirt still on and the invisible dirt brought to the surface so they look disgusting - the clothes on top will stay on top and barely touch water - it is ruining our clothes and doubling our water bill because I'm double and often triple washing things. We literally threw away our money on this.

Clothes come out wrinkled. No explanation till you go thru the WHOLE MANUAL which took 1/2 hour. Need a quick start card to explain all the functions as it takes 45 minutes to find answers

I purchased an LG washer and unfortunately after about a week it started leaking water from the bottom of the washer. The store sent out a technician to check it out and identified the problem and said they would replace the washer. Beware Model #

Lowes at store shows this model # as 8405 which is with agitator, which is wrong. The 8400 is with impellar. They sent wrong washer twice. The employees there don't know any better. A refund is not accepted at store but only a phone #. Good luck enjoying a laundramat until refund is made.

Excellent LG Washer

This washing machine performs! Absolutely love the impeller and extra large capacity. I like to do an extra rinse due to sensitive skin, and the option to increase the amount of water in my cycle was a must. CR lists the LG brand as one of the highest rated washing machines, and I followed that guidance.
