stopped working after 2 and half years!

I bought this quickset smart code 913 touchpad electronic deadbolt and I have loved it for the longest time. The battery life was great and it was very user-friendly. But about three days ago this thing has quit and it will not take a code or unlock it’s almost as if the electronic moving parts inside have stopped completely. I bought brand new Duracell batteries and replace them twice and three days apart. Nothing is working and I’m very disappointed.

Dont last no time.

Bought the first one in 2018 and it made it around 2 years, we were fortunate that time and they actually stood behind the lifetime warranty and replaced it. That one lasted for a little over a year and stopped working. They would not replace it this time. So I guess we are just out

Battery Killer

I'm not really sure how this thing murders batteries every month, especially since we rarely use the door and it's even more rare that we use the keypad function. I wouldn't waste the money on this if I could do it all over again.

Initial first impressions are great

I purchased this to replace a failed electronic deadbolt from a competitor. Having used the two, I thought the alternative was slightly easier to install, though this wasn't too bad. But I do like features and aspects of this lock. The batteries are more conventional (AA vs 9v). The programming is simpler. There's no external "knob" to turn, it unlocks once you enter the code. Installer BEWARE

Bought this programmable deadbolt so that the family could enter through the front without a key. I've installed 3 other similar locks of a different brand so I was sure this would be a piece of cake. Boy was I wrong. The installation for this *should* have been simple, but I got to a spot where the instructions were vague, and the deadbolt was seeming to get stuck. High quality electronic lock

Purchased 2 of these to replace schlage locks that stuck out too far for new storm doors to close. Installation was DIY easy (and easier then the Schlage locks) they work great and entry more hands free as automatic (you don’t have to turn a knob like the Schlage lock required). Will likely eventually replace other entry locks with this type. Order/ delivery was easy and fast.
