Great lock, with high reliability, and well made!!

I bought two of these 3 1/2 years ago, and they have worked great! I didn't have WiFi at the time, so needed a smartlock that didn't require the Internet. The only problem I had was a battery that leaked and damaged the battery case (not the fault of the lock), which I replaced. I have only just changed my 3rd set of batteries, so an average of more than a year for each set. A very reliable and great lock!

Don’t buy it! I bought mine on August 22 2022. In August of 2023 it no longer worked. I thought it was the battery. I had a friend come over to change the battery but he came on August 29th. He found it wasn’t the battery it was the electronics. The boy says Lifetime warranty. I small print it said 1 year on electronics. He called the company and they told him it was too late. Too late by 1 week. So I had to go out and buy another. Believe me I DIDNOT buy another Kwitset.

Not as good as the previous

Easy to install, but keypad does not light up, and you can hardly hear the "beeps" when you enter the code like the previous ones I have owned. Kwikset would not warranty the malfunctioned one on my door, even after sending videos and proof of purchase. Bummer...I have three exterior doors with these locks.

Third One Due To Failure To Engage Bolt

We've purchased three of these locks because the bold fails to engage by twisting or using the key on random occasions. It's the only brand that allows manual bolt turning, and we purchased because the "auto" ones won't lock if someone shuts the door too hard and the bolt isn't perfectly aligned. Disgusted by this product.

Easy installation

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased 2 locks for our front and side doors, installation was very easy. We have reviewed several different brands and this one came highly recommended. We are very happy with the purchase.

Just stopped working after about 2 years

Started malfunctioning after about 2 years of use. When I punch in the code, it just keeps turning and turning and kills 4AA batteries unless I run and grab a screwdriver to take it apart and pull the batteries to reset it. Get something else.

Don't purchase pre-opened packages!

Another purchase that had already been opened. There were no keys in the box!

A great and easily programmable deadbolt

I am using 4 lithium AAA batteries with this lock, should not need to replace them soon. Love the ease of locking the deadbolt with the push of a button upon exiting! Up to 16 programmable codes are allowed, way more than I need, but nice to have!

Clicks loudly and grinds multiple times when autolocking

Great lock without the connectivity of Wi-Fi

Easy to install, works well and does great for the price. Wish it was a little quieter and faster but pleased overall and would purchase again.

First couple weeks, I loved it. The older model had 2 numbers per button. The added security of an actual 10 digit instead of 5 was welcomed. The auto-lock feature was great! Despite the fact I was not able to install the "easy" job, I absolutely LOVE the new deadbolt key/keypad hardware!!!!

Second One That's Gone Bad

This is the second one that has just simply gone bad. I have three doors with these units and 2 of the 3 have now gone bad. This lock only gets used once every other week when the cleaning lady comes. The Support Department went through the reset steps, the battery replacement and some other test and simply said that something is wrong with the electronics. Of course, being more than 1 year old there is no warranty. $220 later I have two worthless installed Kwikset Smart Codes--the only thin...

Does not last Long

The lock lasted for 1 year 3 month. For what it cost I should have gone with a regular lock
