Excellent Electronic Lock !

This lock was a breeze to replace a conventional deadbolt. Simple install and simple programming. You can have up to 16 different user codes. It doesn't "track" them, so I guess it would be good to have an extra code if someone needs to get in temporarily, then you could erase that code. The most awesome feature: the revolutionary Kwikset rekey ability! Now even this lock matches the other locks in our house without calling a locksmith. The other brand can't do that. ANSI 2 rated. Awesome, should have purchased this last year....

Easy to install and easy to set up my Kwikset key from my existing front door. Instructions are easy to understand and follow. It's nice to be able to just punch a button and lock it when your hands are full and it's easy to unlock. It has many options for keypad codes and it's backlit in green. Highly recommended!

Refurbished Junk!

Bought this very same deadbolt lock and set it up just like the directions stated, did not work. Took the lock back and got a second one, same thing. Junk! The door I was putting it on was a prefab door and I knew everything was lined up right, even watched video on YouTube how to install, don't waste your money on this garbage!

Safety & Convenience

We needed a secure lock for our outdoor building, very affordable & quick install. Very pleased with purchase!

Reliability Issues

Mine just quit working about a week after being installed. I have one light that will light up, but nothing more. Possibly that I got a flowed model, I have been trying to phone customer technical service, but their wait times are one hour plus. Guess my next step will be to take the lock off, and return to a local Lowe's store.

I love Kwikset products. Lots of kids, no keys to keep track of. Installation took 15 minutes max.

Didn't work... cable stow away causes problems

This is my second keypad lock, but first Kwikset. It didn't work for me. I spent hours trying to get it to work. Key worked fine, but motor couldn't turn dead bolt. I think he cable gets caught up in the locking mechanism. I'd recommend a different brand. Trying to save money on this didn't work for me. My fault.

Great lock

This is the 3rd combo deadbolt we’ve purchased for the same door. The other 2 stopped working. I enjoy the features of this combo lock, especially the multiple number keys instead of 2 numbers on 1 button. Easy to code.

Might not be a bad product if it fits. The bolt has a two screw mounting plate, which is common, but doesn’t have provisions for you if you have the simple round hole in your door. You can order it from the factory apparently but no one stocks it. Also there is nothing on the package to alert you to this issue.

Great when instructions are included

Not only did the box not come with instructions, but I had to YouTube everything to figure out how to program the lock. I couldn’t get it to work so I returned it. I decided to give it another shot. The 2nd one had all the instructions, so it was much easier to install. I still think the company needs to do something about online support. ...
