2 small, bottom edge that holds mldg is too short to hold the mldg securely! I had 2 pcs launch off the jig drawing blood on my arm. I've been doing mldg for over 50 years and thought I'd try something to make it easier! Wrong! I went back to cutting and coping like i was taught in 1966.

i started with my crown moulding project n even though i had finished window casing pretty quickly with nice miter cuts crown moulding was super confusing for me to make right cut..also on hitachi 10" miter it was very difficult to set it right angle to make accurate angle cuts. so after few installed n looking at the quality i decided to buy this one n a protractor as trust me noje of the wall angels are "90degree" grrrrr..i was super wrong thr..with cutting guide it was very easy to rest the m...

I highly recommend this! Once you figure out how to use it, it really takes the guess work out. Gives me a tremendous amount of confidence taking on any crown molding project

Worked as advertised

Was having difficulty cutting crown moulding using methods I had found online. This jig made it easy and took the guess work out of it. Easily and quickly accommodates inside and outside corners. Makes what would be difficult compound cuts very easy.

Kreg Crown Molding Review

Over all the crown molding box was very easy to assemble but it does seem a little flimsy and very hollow. One of the biggest problems, is that you have to try and match its height to the miter saw to the product, which in my case was about 3.5 inches. The wings / fence height can also but higher than the safety protector on the saw blade which makes it almost impossible to cut. For long cuts there are no clamps so you have to make your own.

Made crown install soooooo much easier. It would be nice if it was a little sturdier but it’s not cheap. I’m hard on tools. Great product and the protractor was a must have. I like the added stickers with the cuts too. Beef it up and it would be well worth the money!

Crown Must Have

I have already recommended this tool to a coworker and a carpenter. I had never cut or installed crown molding before. I was able to read the directions of the Kreg Crown Pro, and successfully cut and install crown molding with a professional result.

Tried it. Slips a bunch. Just slap some painters tape on your miter saw base and you won’t need this.

Don’t Buy

This product will only work with a 12” miter saw. This is not stated anywhere in the product description. Purchased a brand new saw to cut the 4 1/2” wide crown molding, still the Kreg crowm molding guide did not hold the crown molding in place to make the cut. In my opinion, it was a total waste of money. I have years of experience in wood carpentry and had hoped this item would keep the molding in place but, it did not.

This Really Works!

I've done five rooms in our Victorian home using simple quarter-round crown treatment. We hired someone for the sixth room because we chose molding of 3+ inches. I watched in complete bewilderment. The cutting of inside and outside angles were at best, mysterious. The craftsman questioned and walked himself through every cut. Crown molding turned out fantastic

I'm an experienced DIY, however I've never tried to install crown molding before. After a few incorrect cuts I searched for a jig to help. The cuts got better each time and it was super easy to use. I would highly recommend never installing crown without this jig from kreg! The cost of the jig is a lot less than throwing away incorrect cut molding.
