What Customers Are Saying
The product is generally viewed as a helpful tool that simplifies the process of cutting and installing crown molding. Many found it made the task much easier, with accurate cuts and a straightforward setup. The angle measurement tool was particularly praised for its effectiveness. However, some users encountered issues with the jig's stability and ability to accommodate larger or longer pieces. A few felt it had limitations and was not a "miracle device" that solved all challenges. Overall, the consensus is that the product is a useful tool, especially for DIY projects, but may have some limitations depending on the specific requirements.

Would Not RecommendAssembly of Kreg's crown molding jig was simple and straight forward. Will not work for 6 ½ in molding or larger though - even with the extensions fully extended. I tried this jig on 7 ¼ in molding and it is too unstable to produce accurate, repeatable results.

Poor Design
Would Not RecommendI was excited to use this to get consistent cuts on my miter saw. I had trouble getting my crown to sit vertical on my saw fence and was hoping this would solve that. First off it raises the the molding higher than the saw so your pieces fall off after cutting and sometimes were being flung out of the saw blade. Second, if you have long pieces to cut its very unstable. You would need an adjustable extensions to hold the crown in place but once its cut its going to fall into the saw blade b...
NEw to wood working & thought this would make an excellent addition to my woodworking collection.
Issues with 10" Craftsman saw
Would Not RecommendI have an older 10" Craftsman saw with the motor mounted on the right hand side. It is impossible to use the jig on the right hand side because it interferes with the motor. The tool sits pretty high off the base of the saw and seems unstable on my saw. If you have a 12' saw with a large base, this might be OK. I have 3 5/8 molding and it would not fit under the blade guard. Per the mfg website, it won't cut above 3 1/2 inch molding on a 10" saw but I doubt that even 3 1/2 molding would fi...

Perfect cuts.
Would RecommendI just completed a diy crown molding project using this, it really helped the cuts on a complicated setup. The room had a vaulted ceiling with a flat run (not a peak) and then on the other side it had the same with additional complexity of a room bump in. Having to cut spring angles at 38 and 52 degrees, along with keeping everything fitting tight with complex 9, 18, 25 angle cuts was blowing my mind. Using this kept the spring angles solid, making the runs straight and fitted.

Come on guys
Would RecommendI am a remodeling contractor and bought this jig to help cut the necessary miter cuts on the cabinet crown moldings. I have owned the jig for over 10 years and it has worked first time, every time cutting perfect meters. I decided to replace the jig because of the jig being dropped, cut while using it, etc over the years. While assembling the new jig I could not get Plastic Thumb Nut (H) to screw onto the Large Bolt (G). Upon inspection I found the thumb nut did not have treads cut into it...
Waste of Time
Would Not RecommendDon't bother with this. I used it to try to cut 6" crown molding, but had such a hard time keeping the molding in place, I finally gave up. It's not worth the money in my opinion.
Junk
Would Not RecommendTotal waste of money...and a total waste of time trying to figure out how to improve it, in hopes of bringing it up to the stellar expectations "AS SEEN"on the useless Kreg Crown Molding videos..but maybe it's just me

Garbage
Would Not RecommendI recognize that we are living in "The Age of Plastic", but this item is an abject piece of junk. Were it made of stainless steel I still wouldn't want it. Were it made of steel AND its angle selection design 1000% more concrete then I would gladly pay $100 for it. It is not made of steel, however, and the way one sets and secures its cutting angle (which is, first AND foremost, this product's entire cause for existence) is SOOOOOO cheap and unstable and inaccurate... I bought this jig along wi...

Very helpful
Would RecommendI am a DIYer and tried my best to install the crown moulding in my kitchen without this jig. I wasted several expensive pieces before I sought help and bought this Kreg Crown Molding Cutting Guide. This jig helped me create 45 degree inside and outside cuts, much easier than trying to cut the pieces without it. It is very useful!!

Not the best for production work
Would Not RecommendIf you have an issue with the spring angle this can help, but you have to set a surface to join it to the mitre, so sort of difficult to use for prediction but if you have something that is odd angle it can help

Great Jig
Would Not RecommendI am not sure why this product has received such bad reviews. As a casual DIYer that rarely works with crown, this jig was a life saver. I tried without this product and i jept getting wide gaps at the top of my crown. After using this, I was getting close to perfect inside corners. If you are a casual DIYer, do not cut crown without this.
