Does not fit well. Pops off when mixing. Useless.

Terrible

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wish I could give this zero stars. It does not fit properly. When used, it pops off the bowl and rattles. Each time I use the mixer, I try to use this shield and end up getting completely frustrated and disenchanted with the product.

Terrible Product Design

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am a hobbyist baker and was excited to receive the KitchenAid Stand mixer. It is great. However, I wish I had read the reviews before I purchased the plastic pouring shield. It simply does not work. It doesn't fit right and causes more of a problem with flour going everywhere than it solves. I am highly disappointed that I wasted my money on this attachment.

Utterly useless!!!

It doesn't fit securely to the bowl and even when it is "in place", the pour spout is extremely small and doesn't butt up to the bowl so you are STILL getting flour everywhere, even though you can only add the tiniest quantity at one time. Plus, the slightest bump or jiggle (like, say, when a mixer is MIXING) the stupid thing literally falls off!!! I am extremely disappointed in this accessory.

Awful & frustrating

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Doesn't fit and CONSTANTLY comes loose and jangles around. It adds a massive amount of frustration EVERY time I use what is otherwise a wonderful mixer. I hate this accessory so much.

Does not fit

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just bought the shield online and couldn'5 believe it wouldn't fit my stand mixer! I thought it must be the wring size but it is supposedly for a 4.5 OR 5 quart. I have a 5qt. Extremely disappointed and wished I had read all the reviews so I wouldn'5 waste my time and money. Hopefully with enough poor reviews Kitchenaid will make a separate shield for the 5qt.

Pouring Shield doesn't fit right

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just received the pouring shield for my 5 qt. mixing bowl. The shield does not fit. Not even close to being a snug fit. Falls off if bumped or hit accidentally while using mixer. Very disappointed in product and will be returning.

Poor quality and worse design

Doesn't fit

Doesn't fit

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this to fit my new KSM95 stand mixer. It doesn't fit. It is loose, falls off if you bump it, and has a huge opening facing the mixer, which just allows stuff to fly around. Biggest issue though is the lack of fit. You have to carefully push and pull until it's balanced precariously on the rim. The first time anything moves, it falls.

Pouring Shield

I have researched my problem and it seems I am not the only one. I guess it is just good to keep flour, etc. from flying out of bowl.

Unusable product

What a disappointment

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My K45SS mixer is one of the best applicances I ever owned. 23 years and still going strong. One thing we never had was a pour shield. My wife purchased one yesterday and we thought it would be great. FAIL! it does not fit the bowl properly. Falls off. Certainly a departure from the quality I have come to expect from Kitchenaid.

Completely useless

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just unbound my new Model 600 Professional stand mixer and find the pouring sheild which came with it to be useless as it will not stay in place. It is warping and cannot possibly be used. I checked the site and see the same complaint from everyone else. I just made a once in a lifetime investment for this machine after years of wanting one and I am deeply disappointed. This was one of my must have attachments.

Don't waste your money

I wish I had checked reviews first, as I am having the same issues everyone else leaving reviews is. It falls off with the slightest touch. Absolutely useless. Look for an aftermarket that is willing to make a product that actually works as intended.

Pouring shield a BIG disappointment...
