Warped pouring shield

I just received my mixer tase came wit the pouring shield. The shield doesn’t fit the bowl, slightly warped so I would have to hold the shield on both sides, while trying to pour, need 3 hands. Very disappointed. My first stand mixer.

I give it a "just okay"

I have found that the pouring shield will work fine if you're using the metal bowl as the rim is thin. However it will not stay in place when using the glass bowl, which is the one I prefer to use. Is there a shield made just for the glass bowls?

Pouring shield is a joke

I had looked forward to a quality product, mixer so far is satisfactory. But for the price of the mixer one would think a company of the reputation could at least have R & D develop and actual shield that securely fit each bowl. VERY disappointed.

Poor functionality

This piece doesn’t stay on and my ingredients fly out. Its more of a hassle to use so I pretty much never use it. I have the design that only goes 3/4 around the bowl. It also does not come up very far into the middle of the bowl. The price is too high for this piece of plastic that does not do what it is advertised to do.

Pou shield is terrible

I recieved a kitchenaid mixer for Christmas that included a pouring shield. Terrible, doesn't fit properly, everything flies out between the gaps. Ok be small move and it falls off. Shouldn't this fit more snug, is it defective?

Poor pouring shield

The poring shield does not fit the bowl properly. It slides off every time I try to use it, making more of a mess. It doesn’t sit properly in the 5 quart bowl. Very disappointed

Pouring shield

Thought this was a great idea, but the cover no longer fits. It somehow got warped and I can’t get it to stay on anymore! Only used it a few times and washed it by hand so I have no idea why/how it got warped. Like a previous comment, it should be a snap on!

Cheap Plastic Sheild

I love the mixer, but the pouring shield is awful,it does not fit right and made of cheap plastic.

Pouring Shield does NOT prevent splatter

Like many others that have commented on the pouring shield, it simply does NOT prevent splatter and I always wind-up wearing what ever I am trying to add. Very disappointed in the quality because the Mixer is a gem. Thank you

Doesn't Fit

I purchased this mixer about 6 months ago and finally used it last week. Unfortunately, the pouring shield is terrible. Does not fit securely on the mixing bowl. Constantly trying to hold it in place while adding ingredients and adjusting the speed was impossible. Might have to use another reviewers suggestion of masking tape.

Won't stay in place.

As discussed in other reviews, this shield slides all over the mixing bowl. I love my other accessories but this one doesn't measure up to other Kitchen Aid products. Shocked to see something so inferior in their products.

It's useless

This is poorly made. Doesn't stay on bowl and it is not a tight fit so everything comes flying out of bowl even on the lowest speed. Don't waste your money. I don't know why you can't come up with a better design for an expensive product.

What A Freaking Joke!

Bought this to replace the original two-piece shield that came with my 20 year old mixer. That one finally broke and it was irreparable - but it always worked great! This new one-piece shield is an abomination. It does not secure to the bowl and needs to be held in place for it to work at all. It is beyond me how KitchenAide can read all of the horrible reviews for this piece of useless plastic and STILL not come up with something better. Maybe going back to the original 2-piece shield?

POUR SHIELD DOES NOT WORK

There is no way to keep the shield on the bowl. It jumps off at the slightest touch or movement. I contacted KitchenAid and the answer was that it was designed to be a loose fit. Well, it is designed incorrectly. The solution is to put three strips of masking tape around the shield and attach it to the bowl. Seems the designers could come up with something that works on a mixer that costs this much.

A necessity!

I love this Pouring Shield for my 4.5 Kitchen Aid, but I really, really want one for my new Kitchen Aid Commercial 8 quart mixer. I don't find the wire cage any use accept keeping the cat out of the mixing. I took it off , because I got flour every here, and keeps me from accessing the ingreediants. I cant find a pouring Shield that fits the 8 quart bowl. help

Loose fitting, slips off bowl

I've had my KitcheAid mixer for years and love it, but when it comes to the pouring shield it does not stand up to the rest of my accessories or the mixer. I recently dropped it on the tile floor and it cracked. I wasn't too sad since it never seemed to fit the bowl correctly and was loose. I always had to hold it with one hand while trying to pour the dry ingredients with the other. It would have been nice to be able to use both hands to pour.

Flex edge pour chute is terrible

Purchased the 5 qt. 325 in October 2018 from QVC. Had been waiting to upgrade my mixer, and excited about the pour chute that came with mixer. However, might as well not have this attachment it is so poorly made. Does not fit securely, wobbles all around and dry ingredients still blow all out and makes a mess. I’ve seen the older pour chutes, and would like to find one of them. So disappointed because of the cost of this product and not have every item be constructed and better quality in fittin...

Not Even Worth It

I received this shield which I thought would be perfect to help, but it doesn't come close to working. It doesn't fit on the bowl, which means I have to hold it down while trying to pour things in and adjust the speed (almost impossible). You would think that after 187 reviews at over 150 being 1 stars, they would work to fix this.

Awful!

I've never had an attachment so useless in my life! What a waste of money! Not only doesn't it fit right, as soon as I turn the mixer on low, whatever is in the bowl shoots out the sides and top of it, making a huge mess. I usually love your products but this one is heading for the garbage!

One major flaw

I purchased my 5 quart Artisan stand mixer in December 2018. My one complaint is the pouring shield. It will not stay in place. If you slightly bump the mixer the shield goes awry whether the mixer is being used or it is just sitting idle on the counter. Why didn't they make a shield that would snap onto the bowl instead of just sitting there un-anchored? Surely Kitchenaid has a better research and development department than that.
