Doesn't stay on bowl and it warped

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love the mixer, but the pouring shield came out of the box warped and won't stay on the bowl. I would think a mixer this good and expensive would have a better design and better quality for the shield.

Pouring Shield Failure

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Why this is even part of an otherwise great piece of equipment is bothersome. I just unboxed my new stand mixer and wasted so much time with this piece of plastic that doesn't fit. When I was picking out what model I wanted it had to have this feature. Who knew that it didn't even fit!

Was disappointed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just received my very 1st artisian 5.0 mixer yesterday as an early Christmas gift from my husband. While using it for the 1st time today we noticed that the pouring shield doesn't stay on while the machine is mixing..totally disappointing....during mixing the shield falls off the bowl.. This really needs to be fixed and corrected.

Pouring shield doesn't function properly

I came on here in search of instructions to use the shield because mine keeps falling off. I assumed I wasn't attaching it correctly so I am sad to see so many others with the same experience. Wish the pouring shield fit properly and stayed put!!

Don't buy the pouring shield!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The pouring shield, directly out of the box with the mixer off still does not stay on the bowl. This item needs to be redesigned so that it stays in place. DO NOT BUY THIS ACCESSORY!

worthless

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] the pouring shield is not stable. its a flimsy piece of plastic that does not stay on the bowl. the second you touch it with a spoon or move the bowl, its off. they need to work on this and allow it to lock on

Disappointed in the product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The pouring shield is the only thing I dislike about my Artisan. I just received my Artisan before Halloween and I keep trying to give the shield a chance but its a waste of time! I spend more time trying to keep the shield on the bowl (which still doesn't prevent flour from going everywhere) then I do mixing! It amazes me that KitchenAid sees all these reviews and hasn't provided a solution. I can't even return it because it came with my mixer...

Very Disapointing Accessory

It's the day before Thanksgiving and I'm using it for the first time. Probably my first mistake. It's a bit clumsy to use, but I'm sure that I can overcome. My problem is with the pouring shield! Terrible Fit

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love my mixer, but the pour shield is TERRIBLE! I've had 2 replacements sent to me-all of which DO NOT stay on or work. It falls off when mixer is running (or not running) causing flour and other ingredients to fly all over the place. I hope that with all of these low reviews that the company would look into redesigning this pour shield soon and send all registered customers with a new one. I would give this pour shield less that one star...

Very Thin.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Brought this from a a local store thinking it will help with all the splattering. I am very disappointed with it. It's very thin I am afraid of washing it, thinking it might crack. It is suppose to fit 4.5 to 5 qt bowls...it fits but there are gaps that make whatever is in the bowl still splatter out even on low speed...didn't even expect to have such a big gap in the back of the shield. If it's a shield shouldn't it be all closed in? I already...

Terrible fit

Poor Quality

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This came with my mixer and it is a piece of junk. I had an old K5A that I purchased one for years ago. It was much heavier and stayed in place, The quality of this one doesn't match the Kitchenaid brand. Looks like foreign made goods.

1-Piece Pouring Shield

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought my mixer in July and just bought the pouring shield today. The box says it fits a 5 qt bowl lift model which is what I have. It doesn't fit at all. I will be returning the shield tomorrow.

Disappointed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just got my mixer in last week and used it for the first time today. I absolutely Love it but the shield is not "clicking" into place! It is very flimsy and just slides around. I really thought of kitchen aid being the best of the best but the shield disappointed me!

Simply doesn't do the job it was meant too

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently purchased my mixer and I love everything about except for this shield. It doesn't attach properly, it's flimsy and is more hassle than what it's worth. Slowly poring half a cup of white sugar down the 'spout' was enough to make it dislodge. It simple doesn't work. It may minimize some splashing if it were capable of staying attached. So frustrating.

Not so Great

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This shield came with my mixer. It does not "click" on, so I find it falls in and moves around every time I try to add something to the chute. It does not prevent splashes very well, since stuff seems to fly out of the open section 1/4 section. I think the mixer works the same without it, to tell you the truth. If the guard snapped onto the lid of the bowl, it would work much better.

Pouring shield not worth using

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The mixer is wonderful! The pouring shield is not! It does not stay on the bowl. if slightly bumped or you pour ingredients in too fast, the shield ends up falling into the bowl and makes a huge mess. I just stop the mixer and add my ingredients. Then continue on.
