What Customers Are Saying
The pouring shield for the stand mixer appears to have significant design flaws, as it frequently falls off the bowl or fails to fully cover the pouring area. Many users report having to hold the shield in place while mixing, negating its intended purpose. The shield also does not seem to effectively contain spills and splatters, allowing ingredients to still make a mess. Overall, the consensus is that this accessory is poorly designed and does not function as intended.

Would Not RecommendI have a Kitchenaid lift bowl 5quart stand mixer, KG25H0XPT, the kn1ps pour shield doesn’t fit even though it is listed.

Bad design
Would Not RecommendPurchased a new mixer and was very excited to use it and to my dismay the pouring shield doesn't fit well, liquids come out from under the edge and it falls off when trying to use it. This is my third mixer and thank goodness I still have my old pouring shield from my last mixer.

pour sheild
Would Not Recommendthe pour shield so far is a poor shield. it fits too lose. While putting flour in the bowl it fell off??? why??? no matter how I adjusted it it simply didn't work. I am using the metal bowl that came with my mixer. ( Classic 4.5 )

It's just too loose
Would Not RecommendThe shield simply doesn't fit properly on the bowl, too loose and is easy to fall from it. Love the mixer, but they should make an improvement to this shield...:(

Keep Flour in the Bowl
Would Recommend[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is especially helpful when baking bread or muffins. As you add the flour it is trapped in the bowl and the mixer can continue to work!

Doesn't guard any splatter
Would Not Recommend[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have tried this splatter guard several times and it just doesn't work! Low speed on this mixer isn't low enough, and it causes the dry ingredients to poof everywhere. Well this reduces it a "little bit", but the flour gets between this shield and the bowl. Kitchenaid: WE ARE BEGGING YOU TO MAKE ONE THAT SEALS TO THE BOWL! Have your Developers base the design off the bowl lids. I would seriously give this zero stars if I could.

Pouring shield
Would Not Recommend[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Used my new Kitchen Aid with the shield for the first time. Does not fit around the entire bowl, fits loose, and had flour fly out through the spout & opening. I don't have this problem when I don't use the shield! ,

Does not fit
Would Not Recommend[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought the Orange mixer because that's the one my wife has wanted for years now and I finally was able to save up enough money to buy it for her. She was so excited about it when it arrived, and it came with this pouring shield but couldn't figure out how to attach it to the bowl. After further inspection I found out that this shield does not fit the bowl at all, hopefully if you purchase the shield separately it might fit, but in my opinion ...

Disappointed with the Pouring Shield
Would Not Recommend[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought myself an Artisan mixer a month ago along with the Pouring Shield. Very disappointed with the Shield. It wobbles, doesn't sit firmly and falls off at the lightest touch, even while pouring in ingredients. Cannot believe the manufacturers sell this and think it's an acceptable accessory for such a fabulous mixer.

guess I will add my negative review as well....
Would Not Recommend[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I see no earthly reason to bother with this splash guard. As stated by everyone else, it doesn't stay on and lightly sits atop the bowl - everything still splashes or blows out. Isn't there something better than this for a fabulous K.A. Stand Mixer? I have KSM88PSC in beautiful cherry red......

Would Not Recommend[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It still does not prevent flour or powdered sugar from being sprayed over my counter and floor.

Why Bother
Would Not Recommend[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm not sure why Kitchen-Aid even bothers making this anymore. It is an absolute failure in what it is supposed to do. It doesn't fit on the bowl right, and it comes off with the slightest touch. If you try to pour flour down the chute, you have to hold the other side, so it doesn't come off. All they would have to do is redesign it to fit snugly, or better yet, snap on. How difficult is that. To anyone looking to purchase this piece, don't w...

Don't buy
Would Not Recommend[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just bought one and it is a terrible design. Doesn't even fit within my bowl and when I do pry it into the bowl it immediately pops out. Wish I would have read the reviews before buying. #veryupset

Flimsy and not worth the money
Would Not Recommend[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If I could rate this "0", I would. Purchased for my KSM95 thinking that it would help keep my kitchen tidier and allow me to bake faster. There is no chance of that happening because it does not snap in place as expected and is uneven or warped. If I hold it in place, it would stay but who can do that while running a busy kitchen? As soon as you stop holding it in place or accidentally move or bump it, one side lifts off of the mixer. Please re...

Difficult to Use
Would Not Recommend[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the pour shield before Christmas hoping that it would be helpful for my holiday baking. When it arrived, I looked for helpful directions as to how to attach the shield to the mixing bowl. There were none. There was a picture on the box of what it is supposed to look like, and that was all. When I attached the pour shield to the bowl it did not stay in place. It flew off the bowl and left me with a mess. I wish I hadn't bought it. It se...
