HORRIBLE

Works great for me!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My mixer is about 5 years old. It came with the pouring shield. I love it! I should note that whenever I add an ingredient, I make sure to consider the speed setting, and may lower it a tad...just for the sake of physics! Never had a problem!

Nice idea

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This pouring shield is so messy! We have opted to stop the mixer and pour the ingredients in rather than use this thing. Whenever we do use the pouring shield the ingredients end up on the stand mixer due to the large opening/"c" design.

Pouring shield

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the artisan and really looked forward to not having flower fly everywhere using this guard. But it doesn't stay on the bowl. I have to hold it or it will fly off. It's making a bigger mess then when i leave it off. So very disappointing. Considering the price tag of this machine, I expected a lot more quality from the accessories

Not for a glass bowl!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this after having experienced flour everywhere while trying to add it while the mixer was running. Unfortunately, it didn't even come close to fitting the glass bowl. Rather than specifying the model, it needs to be stated that it is not designed for the glass bowl. Love the mixer!! Hate the shield!

I have always trusted Kitchenaid to put out premium products, but this is a total disappointment and definitely not worth the money. Used it once and won't use it again. It wouldn't stay on while the mixer was mixing. Kitchenaid...fix this design!

Too Loose

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Got this two weeks ago I was so excited but there is still the biggest mess when I am adding flour to my bowl. It just comes out the back or at the parts where the pour shield is looser. Not worth the price.

Useless

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this for my KSM75 mixer. Fits loosely on the bowl and flour flies out around the shield and through the open section. I did better putting a tea towel over the mixer when adding flour. Such a waste of money.

so disappointed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this a few weeks ago but just had a chance to finally use it tonight.It doesn't even fit the bowl. I ended up taking it off because I was having to hold it while I was pouring which is just as cumbersome as not having a pour spout. Def. would not recommend people wasting their money. Wish I hadn't.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have the 7 qt. Kitchen Aid mixer that I LOVE for making breads. I wanted the Artisan to use for making smaller recipes, e.g., cakes. The shield creates a messy disaster while adding both dry and liquid ingredients so now I'm back to mixing cake batters by hand.

Does not fit glass bowl

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The pouring shield does not fit the glass bowl and does not stop ingredients from flying out of the bowl. This needs to be redesigned to not only fit the bowl but to be snug and have a smaller opening, not chute, the part that goes under the motor. Also it needs to cover the bowl pouring opening as well

It does not work

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Everyone who reviewed this Shield and stated it doesn't work well and fits poorly was 100% correct. How did this Shield ever make it out of the test kitchen? The flour goes flying out from under the shield lid and out from the open part of the mixer. It doesn't matter how little flour you add at a time, it is still a failure. What happened here KitchenAid? Take one of these into the test kitchen or your home, and you'll understand why it doesn'...

Very disapointinnng

The gap in the back of the shield allows liquid and powders to spray out-like flower or confectioners sugar. Won't fit my mixer...

Not satisfied

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this shield and it does not fit my bowl! It was supposed to fit a 5 quart bowl, which is what my bowl is stamped. I took it back to my local store and was told it was the only size available. They did have another mixer there that came with a shield for a 6 quart bowl. Complete Waste

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I enjoy my KitchenAid mixer, but am frustrated that even after calibration, dry ingredients sometimes fly out and make a giant mess. I was hoping this shield I received as a present would solve that. Nope! Little effort or thought was put into this design. The shield doesn't go all of the way around and powdered sugar still flew up the pour spout. The pour spout itself isn't all that functional either. A bit awkward. Also, not that easy ...

Definitely Does Not Fit
