I was so looking forward to using my Kitchen-aid mixer but was worried about the possible splash

Perfect for stopping a mess!

I mainly use this when I shred cooked chicken breasts in my mixer with the paddle attachment. It helps to keep the chicken from flying all over everything. I definitely miss it if I forget to use it.

Terrible!!

I was so excited to try this on my mixer because of the flour flying out when using the mixer. Absolutely horrible product- as many others have said, it does not fit on the bowl.

Totally disappointed

Wanted a kitchenaid stand mixer all my life. Got one as a gift for my 65th birthday. Love the mixer, but the shield is not worth fussing with. Have to use tape to keep it on the bowl. When adding dry ingredients, the flour flies up through the holes and goes everywhere. DON't you test your products before you market them? For what this mixer costs you should design something that is functional. Very disappointed and would be hesitant to purchase additional accessories for fear they would...

Doesn't stay on, falls into mixer

Extremely small tabs do not keep the shield in place, it slips around and falls into mixer. Avery bad design, don't waste your money on it.

Stupid Design

Why did you stop making the two piece pouring shield? That big gap you have designed on that pouring shield allows dry ingredients to fly out and make a horrific mess! What is the purpose? Mine went into the recycle bin! I have had my Kitchen Aid mixer for over 25 years and it gets tremendous usage. Why you would make such an inferior accessory leaves me shaking my head.

Awful

I purchased a new stand mixer to replace a 15 year old one. When I saw the pouring shield, I was excited. Seemed to be a great idea to replace the 2 piece one that came with the previous mixer. Simply put, it is not. It practically flies off the bowl every time it is touched. Wish I had not given away the old one. DO NOT waste your money. Kitchenaid should fix this issue and give all users a replacement.

I ordered the pouring shield for my wife and boy! I thought what a JOKE! everyone is right about the fact you barely touch it and it falls off. So this is what I did and I think Kitchenaid should PAY me something for the fix. I put a little dab of shoe goop on the end of each tab, let it dry and VOILA it works very well and does not fall off.

Disappointed

Got the dream machine of my own! Not so happy with shield. It don’t even fit! Fix this matter kitchen aid!

Not a good accessory

The pouring shield came with the mixer I purchased. It simply doesn't stay put on the mixing bowl. The slightest touch and it falls off! I am completely disappointed in this product. I wonder if it fits better on a glass bowl as compared to a metal one.

I thought I was the only one

I thought I just could not figure out how to attach this to the bowl properly or something but apparently not...Everyone seems to dislike it...Falls off bowl, shields absolutely nothing...I had this attached to my mixer and flour was literally flowing out of the side

Useless!

I just bought my first Kitchenaid mixer and am so disappointed with the pouring shield that came with my mixer. It does not fit the bowl and falls off with the slightest touch. This was designed so poorly! All they need to do is add another small piece to the plastic tabs so that it actually grabs the bowl. Kitchenaid- please fix this!!

Disappointing

My daughter got this for me for Christmas. I wish we would have read the reviews before she got it. It’s just as the reviews say, it doesn’t fit the glass bowl and flops around. Very frustrating to spend money on something that just doesn’t work. KitchenAid should redesign this product and recall the current ones.

Doesn't stay on the bowl

This is more likely to cause an accident than help. It moves around and comes off while trying to pour in ingredients. Very poor design.

Does not work as well as the old design

I have the current production shield, which does not work well at all. It has gaps in the ring that allow the material in the bowl to exit the bowl. I just saw the OLD shield design at my mom’s. It has a full ring, without gaps. Bring back the old design, KitchenAid!

Don't waste your money.

Doesn't stay on the bowl, lets flour fly out throught the back and through openings near the spout. Doesn't work.

Never worked, now broken

What a great idea but a poor product. Hasn't fit well since day 1, always falls off and now is broken from falling off bowl. Just had to throw away and I guess will have to use a towel over bowl. Disappointed...

Pouring shield will not stay on

Bought the Kitchenaid Artesian mixer today. Tried to use pouring shield, unless I am completely stupid just does not fit. Very disappointed.

Kitchen-aid Shield

I would not recommend this because it never stays on no matter what I do. Can’t pour any light weight items into it. I lay a kitchen towel or paper towel over my Kitchen-aid when adding ingredients. If a new shield becomes available I would be more than eager to purchase it.

It doesn’t work at all

I love kitchen aid but I make loads of cakes and I can never use the pouting shield when baking with icing sugar or flour or liquid because the shield doesn’t fit properly, it’s not sealed all the way around so everything goes everywhere. Other brands have better options and I’m seriously consider giving up my kitchen aid because of that. I’m fed up of having my work tops and kitchen dirty for no reason and having to use a tea towel as a shield should not be the solution.
