Disappointed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Exchanged the toaster and still unsatisfied! Don’t use often, matches other products and probably will not return. But totally disappointed that bread does not pop up enough without me placing my fingers inside toaster.

Great features

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recieved this toaster for a Chtistmas present to add to my collection of Kitchenaid products. Now I have 6qt mixer,hand held mixer,blender, chopper with attactments. and now my new toaster. They all work hard for me everyday and Holidays baking. Its a fine product. Worth the money. Has staying power. Can Beat,whip,chop slice,dice,whatever you do ,do it with Kitchenaid if you can. All these will be passed down to grandaughters to use for year...

Toaster Odor

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] What is the unpleasant odor in our recently purchased toaster? It has somewhat dissipated after a number of uses but is still present. The manual doesn't seem to address this. Does the substance causing the odor contaminate the food, or does it contribute to toxic indoor air? I have purchased a number of toasters in my 75 years, but have never encountered this strong chemical odor.

Disappointed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It’s not much better than a non name brand! Toasting pattern is patchy, one side of both slices of toast are different levels of browning. I have to use different settings depending on the thickness of the bread. Thick bread only on level 1 otherwise it’s burnt. Not happy with it!

The toaster

Toaster Failure

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was so excited to get my new KitchenAid toaster to replace my old one that I had for many years! But was I surprised. It didn't work well at toasting. I had to keep turning the bread over and retoasting it to get even a slight toast on it. The parts on the toaster that toast the bread never got red, just barely visible. I returned the toaster. I did love the red color. It matched my KitchenAid stand mixer. Very disappointed.

Works like a charm

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the toaster. It works as I would expect a toaster to, and matches my other KitchenAid appliances. The only thing I dislike is the loud beep right before it pops up. Makes me jump every time I hear it! Does a toaster really need a beep?!

good design and useful features

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The size of the housing is large enough not to be too hot to the touch or to touch other things in the kitchen and it fits nicely on the counter. The simple, useful design of its features are exactly what you need including the additional lifting of the toast using the handle, allowing access to the bread but keeping the bread in the taoster to keep it warm until you can get to it.

Nice & Reliable Toaster

Don't like dark toast

wouldn't buy again

I have several KA small appliances and love them so I decided to go with their toaster. At first it worked good, now it acts like it is stuck on the bagel setting because all of our bead toasts good on one side but almost doesn't have any toasting on the other. I'm very disappointed with this purchase, for the money it should work good. This is what happens when a good company changes to manufacturing in China.
