[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Waiting a long time to get this microwave after ordering. The door opens down instead of sideways. The unit also has a larger capacity then my older unit...fitting in the same space.

Terrible mivrowave

Quit after three months and the next one quit after two years. Absolute junk.

Like Unit - but problems

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Unit cooks great but the door interlock mechanism doesn't always function properly. Have to open and close the door a couple of times to get it to work. For the price it shouldn't have these issues. Had door switch replaced once.

Love this built in microwave

We decided on this over a drawer because we were nervous about spills and we have had no issues with spills. Easy Convection

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased this with our new home choosing the micro/convection instead of dual wall ovens. Very happy. The convection oven works beautifully as that additional oven I need fir the holidays. The microwave is excellent for the usual uses. Door closed sensor is very sensitive so sometimes open and shut again, but no big deal and safety is a good thing.

More than a microwave

Light bulb change is impossible.

It is unacceptable that the owners manual simply says “The interior light bulb is not accessible.” So what does an owner do when the light bulb burns out after 5 years? Consumers expect more from an expensive KitchenAid product. This is poor design.

Great Product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The microwave is the model the requires 240 volts to operate so installation is not plug and play. But the result in having this model is a microwave that functions at a very high level and heats and bakes food to almost perfection.

Really nice!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] With having a small kitchen, this was the best choice we made without loosing counter & cabinet space. Best part is that it serves as a second oven when needed. Very functional & looks great with the rest of my KichenAid appliances in our new kitchen remodel. Expensive but totally worth it...no regrets

Design problems

Just had this installed in a new kitchen, cabinet designed for the microwave. The door opens from the top and makes it impossible to reach into the microwave, unless you are very tall with really long arms. I tried it with a step ladder and still cannot reach into the microwave.
