Would RecommendFollow directions about keeping covered with dust cover, when construction or renovation is over, they work as needed. Have had issues when didnt cover thinking what was big deal. Yep false trip because Construction dust got into Unit by not following directions. Use over 80 per year in construction jobs. Only brand I will use now. Quality product verse others used. Last 10+ yrs with no issues.

Would RecommendI have had this smoke detector for about a year and have had no problems with it. I don't get false alarms, and it does not chirp in the middle of the night like my previous First Alert alarm did. I do know that it works because of one or two smoky events in the kitchen. I have a total of eight of these in the house.
