I wanted a smoke detector that matched the originAl one that was installed, but had expired. Although the model # of the one I had was no longer available, Kidde provided me with a new model that fit the plug in my ceiling and was a duplicate in size to my original one. I'm thrilled!

I replaced all six of my old Smoke Detectors they were made in 1999 and they all went off at once but every thing went well and smooth and I am feeling very safe again. That is a very nice feeling. I think the Front Load Battery makes this device the best choice for older citizens. Just being able to pop out the old one, and pop in the new one makes changing batteries a simple matter rather than a chore.
