What Customers Are Saying
The Insinkerator instant hot water dispenser provides quick access to hot water for various kitchen tasks like making tea, coffee, and oatmeal. Customers appreciate the convenience, but report issues with durability and reliability, such as the button sticking, leaks, and a relatively short lifespan of 2-5 years. Some users recommend considering alternative models, especially those with a lever-style faucet, as the lever design seems more reliable.

This was a replacement of one that only lasted 2 moths, so... we shall see.

Hot/Cold Faucet & Sinkerator
Would Not RecommendWe've been using the product with only the HOT faucet for 20 years and recognize that the unit has about a 7 year life span. We purchased a new one because we were having a reverse osmosis drinking filtered cold water unit installed and wanted a dual faucet with two handles (hot & cold). The hot unit is working fine but the faucets are not. They are not set properly so they will not shut off completely. There is a constant drip. Since the Insinkerator and the faucets were sold as a unit, the cos...

Push Button Sticks
Would Not RecommendThe water heater part works- but the button has never worked well. It allows for the hot water to drip from the faucet- and now after just a short time the button will not come up on its own and you have to pry it up- so we are unable to use it at all. I am trying to get a different faucet for the unit that isn’t a button because that design is flawed for this purpose.

Should Have Purchased Sooner
Would RecommendI purchased the hot water dispenser as we were using an electric kettle and would go through several pitchers a day. So, every time we wanted hot water, we had to wait for the water to heat. Because of our water we also use a purifying water pitcher, so it was a process. I installed an inline water filter to the heater so now, when we need hot water, we just push a button. I should have done this sooner! Lol.

Too noisy when heating element comes on
Would Not RecommendI replaced our Insinkerator hot water dispenser that leaked from the tank gasket after 6 or 7 years of service. Our original Insinkerator unit was so quiet compared to this new one. I gave this a pour rating based on the heating element noise of the new one.

Love my HotWater maker!
Would RecommendThis is my second Hot water maker--first one when I remodeled my kitchen and now another one in a brand new house! Loved the first one so I had to put it in again! One little "flaw" is that the handle must be pushed back to operate rather than pulling it forward, which makes more sense to me! Just something to "get used to" but overall it's a great product for my many cups of tea, oatmeal for the kids etc.

Love, love, love
Would RecommendI had an instant hot at our former home and couldn't wait to get one installed in our new home. So many uses - hot tea, oatmeal, stain removal, cleaning, spot on carpet. The list goes on and on. For me it is a must have!

Neck on the dispenser too short
Would Not RecommendThe neck on the water dispenser is too short and the button requires too much pressure. It's a shame that the dispensers with adequate height and levers are so much more expensive.

HOT100
Would RecommendThe first Hot100 lasted almost 90 days before the faucet would not shut off. The faucet would constantly drip. Uninstalled and returned the faucet for exchange for a new one. I am in 60 days with the new faucet and everything is working fine. I really enjoy having the InstaHot 100 at my fingertips.

Problem Solved
Would RecommendI have had multiple Insinkerator hot water devices over the years and was very happy. This one had a small leak out of the box. Insinkerator repaired the device in my house at no cost or effort (other than a phone call) to me. One of the reasons I chose Insinkerator was because I knew they would be there to resolve any problems. I would 100% recommend them.

looks Good
Would RecommendI had owned one of these for about 2 years before i had to buy a new unit. I am hoping this new unit has been updated so the push button on this new unit works for more than 2 years. Other than this issue the unit worked fine and the new one seems to have a better button than the old unit. Hoping i am right

Wish I had bought one sooner
Would RecommendWe bought an under sink water dispenser. Installation was easy, from clear instructions. Delivers water at about 200 degrees. Good for coffee, tea, etc. Really am happy with purchase.

Water is hot but awkward to use
Would RecommendBeing right handed the tap is awkward. Button is on the right and I hold my cup with my right hand. Very noisy when water is heating. Water is very hot though so it works well to have instant hot water.

Works as designed.
Would RecommendThis unit replaced an existing same unit that lasted approximately 9 years, (the old unit started leaking from the bottom). This unit installed fine using the same hookups and mounting screws. Filled up and heated up fine and is performing as expected for the last 2 months. I recommend this device.

Never worked properly
Would Not RecommendI bought this for my kitchen renovation done 3 years ago. We didn't use it that often, so when the push button stuck down and did not return to position to shut off water, I assumed with time and use it would move more easily. Not the case. It only got worse. Now, I am stuck with a faucet that does not shut off and recently had guests who panicked and used a knife to try to pry the button back up, damaging the chrome around the button.
