What Customers Are Saying
The Insinkerator instant hot water dispenser provides quick access to hot water for various kitchen tasks like making tea, coffee, and oatmeal. Customers appreciate the convenience, but report issues with durability and reliability, such as the button sticking, leaks, and a relatively short lifespan of 2-5 years. Some users recommend considering alternative models, especially those with a lever-style faucet, as the lever design seems more reliable.

Would RecommendOne of the handiest things to have in the kitchen for hot tea hot chocolate or for a quick rinse of a dish. Beats waiting for hot water out of the faucet.

Even better than than before
Would RecommendAfter 10+ years of service, my old dispenser started acting up. Opted to purchase another ISE product because of earlier customer service with my original unit and not having any problems for over a decade. The new tank unit fit like a glove where the other unit was mounted. Dispenser installation was a snap with simple tools. Went with the push button dispenser this time with a nice new brush nickel finish. Instant hot water with the push of a button. Mama is happy again !

Love this!
Would RecommendThis cuts down on time when waiting for water to boil. I also use it to warm up my ice cream scooper. It makes scooping ice cream much easier.

Love it
Would RecommendI have had a hot water dispenser since the mid 90’s. Remodeled my home and put in a new dispenser, as usual it works well, it easy and safe to use and I love the convenience of having instant hot water for my tea, hot cocoa and cooking.

FAUCET LEAKS AND GETS STUCK ON
Would Not RecommendWe have hardly used this faucet because it leaks or won't shut off. the push button gets stuck with hot water running down the drain. so frustrating.

Very easy to install!
Would RecommendWe had little knowledge of this product but our old one went out so we purchased another one just like it. I selected the push button instead of the handle this time but wish I had stayed with the handle being in my early 70's it is harder to use the button, otherwise it works great for tea, coffee, adding hot water to a recipe, sterilizing. Never knew I would enjoy something so much!! Everyone should have one!!

Great unit, but tends to be noisy when heating the water.
Would RecommendWe bought this unit as a replacement for our older one that no longer functioned very well. It was relatively easy to install, all the directions were clear and concise, and the water that comes from the unit is obviously very hot. The temperature is adjustable, and can be dialed down when not in use or if one is away. The 8nky negative is that this unit is much noisier than our old one, and this was unexpected.

If you demand hot water this product is for you
Would RecommendProduct works as described. Very easy to install I recommend you read the instructions completely. I even had to drill a hole in the granite counter top, that was the longest part of my installation. We use ours daily for our French Press Coffee in the morning. it also has many other uses like small batches of gravy, recipes that require small batches of hot water not to mention the grand kids hot cocoa.

Button gets stuck. Terrible design
Would Not RecommendDo not buy this product. The button randomly gets stuck when using/pressing. Sometime button works, sometimes sticks- which allows water to run continuously. Getting the button unstuck by repeated pressing or with tool is rather difficult. Eventually the only way to stop the running water due to stuck button is to turn off water. No trouble shooting or maintenance instructions included in user manual. YouTube videos show how to remove the rubber gasket, so the button will work properly. Terrible...

So glad I found this one
Would RecommendI have had these in my various homes since the late eighties! I love my Insinkerator insta hot.! I use it tomatoe tea and coffee, also jello.. I also use it to sterilize my knives I don’t put in the dishwasher. It is also great for instant soups. I was without this one for about two weeks and I definitely missed how simple it made my life! This is the first one I’ve ever had to replace and it and it was in use for over 16 years!

Pushbutton Sticking on Faucet
The product required the services of a plumber to install. It performs very well for a period of a two to three years. After that the design of the pushbutton on top of the faucet results in failure turning off the water stream upon release of the button. A rubber washer below the pushbutton prevents oil and grease from entering the faucet. As the washer ages, its function to prevent oil and grease seepage diminishes. Eventually the pushbutton will not turn off the water stream when downward fin...

Instant hot water
Would RecommendOur other unit failed for some reason. The company replaced at no charge, even offering free installation. This is my second unit and the 1st one lasted forever it seems. The convince of the instant hot water is great for coffee tea and even filling up the sink instead of waiting for the hot water from the tank. I'd recommend this to anyone.

Temperature varies below max of 200 degrees.. Easy to replace previous Insta-Hot product.
Would RecommendThis was a replacement of an existing Insta-Hot that lasted for nine years. The new one isn't as reliable regarding consistent hot water at 190 degrees and above. The new one seems to fluctuate between about 170 and 195 degrees, and this is on the highest setting. According to the owner's manual, the temp should reach 200 degrees on three-quarters setting (about 7 out of 9 on the dial). Best thing about the product was it was very easy to replace my old Insta-Hot with the new one.

Great product
Would RecommendI purchased this product to replace worn out HOT-1. This design improves over the HOT-1 deficiencies by recapturing steam and pressurized hot water excess. It has nicer appearance and design enhancements. It was a little more difficult to install because of limited space considerations under my sink.

This product works great!
Would RecommendOur previous InSinkErator went out on us after several years of use. We got spoiled to having the hot water at our finger tips for Cup-of-Soup, hot teat and more. We love having one again and we are very happy with this product. Very convenient to have. Working great, looks good with our stainless steel sink.

Needed to return to store
Would Not RecommendReplacing smaller older unit. New unit would not connect, told the compression nut does not come with it. No such notation on box. Worthless to tell someone in the directions. More of my day wasted.

Works great WHEN It WORKS
Would Not RecommendProduct is easy to install and Customer service is good. Unfortunately, my experience has been with the units I've had they only last a couple of years. My units have been been replaced under warranty and that's good but it's still a little frustrating to deal with it. I've gone through 3 in the last 5 years
