What Customers Are Saying
The Insinkerator instant hot water dispenser provides quick access to hot water for various kitchen tasks like making tea, coffee, and oatmeal. Customers appreciate the convenience, but report issues with durability and reliability, such as the button sticking, leaks, and a relatively short lifespan of 2-5 years. Some users recommend considering alternative models, especially those with a lever-style faucet, as the lever design seems more reliable.

Would Not RecommendIn a 15 year time frame have an instant hot water tank on our Island bar in our kitchen we have gone through 7 Insinkerators. This last one was purchased April 21st and was non- working by May 24. The lady one lasted only a month. An inferior product for sure. Easy to put in BUT the quality of the Insinkerator brand literally has gone down the drain! I would not buy another one or recommend this product.

Instant very hot water is a luxury product
Would RecommendIt replaced an identical product that had failed after 8 years. We were very happy with it.

Cheap Dispenser Will Fail
Would Not RecommendThe dispenser began leaking after about a year and completely failed at 2 years. It's cheaply made / poorly designed. Do yourself a favor and buy something else. Best to avoid Insinkerator in general.
Button fails in 1-2 years - don't buy
Would Not RecommendThe push button wears out shortly after the warranty expires. Buy something else.

Short Lifespan - Expect it to fail
Would Not RecommendWorked pretty well for a couple of years then the button stuck and water would not shut off. Cannot be repaired. If you are OK with replacing every couple of years then by all means buy this one. If not, keep looking.
Leaking valve after less than one year
Would RecommendThe tank is fine and not leaking. It warms the water well. Unfortunately, after less than a year, the valve has started to drip. I’ve tried all the troubleshooting that Insinkerator recommends, including turning the heat down to the minimum, and removing the vent hose and blowing through it. The only solution was to turn off the hot water inlet valve. I’m assuming that the problem is not with the tank, but with the valve and desperately need to find a new valve as I do not want to have to purcha...

Replacement unit
Would RecommendThe unit works fine, easy to install and the water is nice and hot. Unfortunately the faucet that we had (a higher end one for both hot and cold water) still worked fine, so I ended up buying a lower end replacement unit and throwing the new faucet away. A waste of our natural resources!!! I don't understand why they sell the tank at a much higher price than one with a faucet. The extra warranty that is offered is a joke!!

Wrong power cord
Would RecommendI bought this for Australia but didn’t realise the unit would come with the US plug and voltage of 115V and 60Hz. What can I do here please?

answer to sticky button
Would Not RecommendButton comes off after you pry it off and you take off the dumb o ring and it won't stick anymore. Clearly incinkerator could care less because when I called and talked to someone, they suggested I buy a new one. There is a YouTube video out on how to fix. Mine happened within a year but I called after two and was out of warranty. I wish you'd sell parts because my button is mutilated after stopping from running day after day and then prying it out.

Broke after just 2 years
Would Not RecommendThis hot water tank has worked well for 2 years and like all things now adays has broken. The faucet works fine, but the tank leaks heavily during every heat cycle. Good thing I noticed the water pooling up under my sink. I’m a contractor and water damages like this can cost thousands of $$$ quick! Not sure how a company can stand behind a product that only lasts 2 years of light to medium use.! Hopefully customer service can make up for this please

Would Not RecommendNot from heavy use.. 2 units in 4 years. Not worth the trouble or expense

DITTO OF REVIEW ON MAY 16th
Would Not RecommendFAUCET LEAKS AND GETS STUCK ON We installed this for a customer 1.5 years ago and they now have this same problem: faucet leaks and won't shut off; the push button gets stuck with hot water running down the drain.

Hot water dispenser
Would RecommendI love this product this is my third one. I have installed one in every house I own. If you drink tea you e]will definitely want to get one. It doesn’t take up that much room under the sink for installation, you just=t need a plug there.

Perfect addition to the kitchen sink
Would RecommendHad to replace the hot water tank, went with a tankless. Took ages to get hot water in the kitchen sink, did some research on line, chose this model, not the cheapest but works perfectly. Installation was relatively simple, tricky part was drilling the hole in the stainless steel sink.for the faucet.. perfect for a quick rinse of the dishes or a quick cup of tea. Hardly use the kettle now.
