Would RecommendI am disappointed that this model doesn't last more than 2-3 years. We are now on our 3rd unit because they begin to leak after this period. Would kindly suggest that the same size unit be available in STAINLES STEEL so it would last longer. Gets expensive purchasing a new one every 2-3 years. This is the only model thin enough to fit between our sink and the outside wall!

needs some tweeking
Would RecommendThe insinkerator works well, but it is reheating very often, which is needless. Also, the lever to press for disposal of hot water is awkwardly located. It would be much more easily accessible if the lever were on the side. Thanks, Norma and Gary Jones

Provides instant hot water all day
Would RecommendThis is my second Hot1 unit. The first one lasted 8 years of daily use. The new one is more efficient and quieter. It is in use throughout each day. I highly recommend it.

Works Well for Awhile
Would RecommendThis my 3rd Hot 1 tap. The first one lasted for over 15 years. Sadly, the 2nd one worked for less than 2 years. I'm hoping this one lasts as long as the first. My wife loves it for making tea. I use it to pre-heat my coffee cup. Couldn't live without it.

Hot Water!
Would RecommendIt came with the wrong factory setting so it took a while to get the temp set right so it didn't spew into the sink all the time. Once that was set right, it works fine.

It's noisy
Would Not RecommendMy plumber convinced me to try Insinkerator again 5 months ago. This is my 4th iteration of their hot water dispensers in 3 homes. I don't remember the other 3 being this noisy or messy. Whenever it reheats (which is several times throughout the day and night), it makes loud noises and spits water out of the faucet that can be heard several rooms away. And I'm always worried that the cheap plastic handle will break (the red hot water symbol is already rubbing off). The actual faucet is very attr...

I have pursued this product despite how it works at my house
Would RecommendI love the ease of this hot water dispenser. However, this is my 4th one in about 10 years. While my sister has one that has been working for 8 years with no issues, mine seem to last only 2! I called the company to see if there were any issues that I should be made aware of, or if the longevity for my Hot Spot was to be expected. I need to say that the water quality was mentioned as a contributing factor, but my sister lives just down the street and we have the same water quality. After severa...

Love having INSTANT HOT WATER!
Would RecommendLove having INSTANT HOT WATER! This is my 3rd one. They last about 2 years. Wish they lasted longer.

Unit lasted about 1 1/2 years
Would Not RecommendGreat little unit, plenty of Hot water. Bit nosy on the heat cycle. Issue: started noticing small black debris in the water. Within a month it was really noticeable and we stopped using. Removed unit and upon taking the spout out and turning upside down got a pile of black crud out. Since unit was out of warranty I decided to cut unit in two and WOW the entire inside was covered with a black grit. I have an in line high end filter in the cold water supply line so I know the unit somehow failed. ...

good but has defects
Would Not RecommendI bought my first HOT 1 many years ago. That one lasted about 3 1/2 years. The second one a little less .They are easy to install and fairly inexpensive but they all had one flaw. After a while they all LEAKED .It seems that when the tanks are welded they don't do such a good job.I have offered to send them back but no one seem interested in fixing the problem.True it only has a one year warranty but that should be on the controls not a copper tank.Right now I have three tanks if anyone wants to s...

Handy Appliance
Would RecommendI have been using Instant Hots for several years and find it hard to live without it. Very convenient for using very hot water for various chores. I have replaced my units about three times in the last ten years due to mineral build up in the small tank. We have very hard well water. Also cuts down on wasting water and gas due to heating water in a kettle. Very easy to install with existing hook ups and hole in counter. I do recommend these little heaters.

Would RecommendThis is my second one. The first lasted about 6 or 7 years. Easy install and provides steaming hot water.

Crome Hot Water Heater
Would Not RecommendIt was to bad but the on;y one you stock would not replace the one I had. Yours had to fit between my sink and the wall and there was no way I could use. Returned it and went to Home Depot and got the same brand but a different model which match the one I was replacing

Problems from the start
Would Not RecommendFirst, let me say that we have used this for 5 years. Since initial installation we've called the plumber back 3 times. It kept spewing water, when no one was even in the kitchen, as if it were boiling over and continually leaked around the edge where it met the quartz countertop . Every time plumber came it was adjusted and while the problem of the spewing became less the leak around the edge continued off and on. In the last year it began spewing steam and hot water again but, now we found tha...
i can not find plastic handle. i can find god but plastic handle
Would Not Recommendi like the product, even though it makes lot of noise. however, my plastic handle broken and can not find one any where. I am hoping some one will help me after reading this review and my pain in finding the plastic handle. I am sure this handle will cost $1.99 but it is taking act of congress to find one. Hope this company will listen and find one for replacement. The company does not publish this item to order new one.

New one is very noisy!
Would RecommendThis is the 5th "Hot 1" that between my wife and I we have owned. This one is quite noisy when heating and if I try pushing the Temp up to above 190 it acts as if it would boil dry in a day of disuse. I have reached a compromise temp at slightly under 190 so it makes coffee or tea just fine and doesn't spit and steam. They have averaged over 5 yrs before needing replacement. In general is a great addition to the kitchen. We'll put up with the noise. George

Much easier to install than older models.
Would RecommendSimple installation. Reservoir is smaller than other units. It that's why it is inexpensive.

Nice but not durable
Would RecommendThis Hot Water Dispenser works good, looks good, is the right size and is easy to install. But it does not last. This is the third unit that I have installed. It needs some serious re-engineering. 1st: The cooper tank, which has a heating element, is soldered at the seam. Solder has a low melting point. My unit started leaking shortly after the warranty expired. 2nd: The black plastic part where spout comes out is prone to cracking opposite the handle. 3rd: The handle starts swiveling which is a...

doesn't last long
Would Not Recommend20 years ago had ones that lasted 5 -6 years now I bought one last year lasted 5 months--replacement unit lasted 7 months but 2 weeks past the warranty on the first one, and they don't warranty the replacement--they only go by the date on the original, so even though they gave me a new unit as the replacement it did not have a year warranty on it. So even though they didn't cover the replacement you see the problem is that they don't last. First unit the handle broke, (but they replaced the whol...
