Doorknob/deadbolt hole maker

This kit works great for the price. It measures great. Only wish the router template for the door latch was metal and not plastic. It gives a little.

Does the job

This is a very capable installation kit, it would get get 5 stars if the deadbolt inset templet was metal. When using the provide routing bit, the plastic template gets chewed up causing a not so perfect recess which is easily cleaned up with a chisel. Other than that everything worked perfectly.

Great kit

I have always hated drilling and installing door knobs. I bought this kit and am kicking myself for not investing in it sooner. It makes installing knobs a breeze.

Worth the extra money

I Need to enlarge a deadbolt opening and knew I needed a holesaw. If I didn’t have the mold that comes with it, I would have been all over the place, unable to drill straight.

Does the job.

First time installing a lockset in a door blank, which just happened to be an expensive fiberglass door. I was able to complete the task easily with no issues. Everything lined up perfectly with no binding of the lockset.

Cheaply made

Most of this kit is made from plastic and not durable at all. I only used it twice before it broke. If were made of metal, I'm sure it would be a good tool to have.

Hole saw kit

Worked as advertised(no small tasked these days). Only 4 stars because it didn't do the work for me, Ha ha!

This tool You’re so much better than the whole paper template you used to get with the new door. It makes it real easy to install doorknobs.

knob &latch jig

The packaged contents work well with the exception of the latch plate guide. This guide is a relatively soft plastic which allows the bit guide to damage it. I will probably be able to get by using it one or two more times before it is distorted beyond allowable tolerances.

It was real easy to use. Just make sure you read the directions.

Lock pattern for easy install

This is a MUST! Saves time and headaches installing door locks.

Hole Saw Kit For Dummies

I bought a 75 year old home, with all original doors. I'm doing all the renovations on my own, and this hole saw kit made it foolproof; I need all the help I can get!

Door core and hinge guide

Easy to use. Hinge size was slightly smaller than my hinges, but easy adjust after cutting templates. Would give 5 star, but router bit broke to easily. Made the job a simpler than expected.

Toss the "router" in the garbage...

So for the $ it's worth having just for drilling the holes and marking the lock set for more than one door. Do NOT use the "router" bit. It's garbage. I marred my brand new custom door because of the crappy "router" bit. Just use the plastic template to mark the outline with a pencil and chisel by hand. That's all it's good for. Also just buy a hinge jig for the router and toss the chisel guide for the hinges. I give it 3 stars for being half way useful.
