Better than expected

I purchased this saw after going looking at several places. Straight out of the box I have cut 9 small trees, several bushes, and one big tree. No problems at all. The power to weight ratio of this saw is perfect. No, its not a Sthil, but it's starts right up unlike my old Sthil, and cuts just as good. Thus, I am happy so far.

Exhilarating my new favourite tool

I bbn had a huge tree fall in backyard i had a small electric chainsaw but inly dented the tree this chainsaw cut thru like butter it was exhilarating, i love this thing. Well worth the price. Thank you

Just what I need!

 I have a lot of trees in my yard  and I chose a Husqvarna 450 rancher 20 inch chainsaw because I have already used  my friend's Husqvarna 455 rancher chain saw before and I loved it . I also have a Husqvarna 150BT leaf blower which is 12 years old and it works just perfectly. Piece of Junk

Bought this saw in June of 2023 to replace my Echo. Nothing wrong with the Echo just needed a longer saw blade. Used it the 4th of July weekend and after only 20 minutes of cutting mesquite the chain fell off causing damage to the cover and the chain itsel. Tried to put the chain back on but the damaged parts would not allow it. Tried taking it back to Lowes but of course they would not take it back because it was used. Amazing 20" chainsaw!

This is an absolutely mind blowing powerful yet quiet chainsaw that outperforms anything I've ever used before to include commercial grade saws! Comes ready to use out the box after fueling it and was able to take down a large tree and make firewood in less than a hour! Cuts smooth and clean and doesn't take up much space in your garage.

Good homeowner saw

This Husqvarna 450 chainsaw is a decent and solid chainsaw for a homeowner and light rancher. This is the newest version, and the sprocket cover now has one bolt securing it which makes on the go maintenance a little quicker. Smoothest Most Powerful Chainsaw Ever!

Wow. I was concerned the 20" size would be too heavy and unwieldy...not! This is the best balanced saw I have ever used. it was comfortable even for my wife. Excellent Husqvarna Chainsaw

The Husqvarna 20-in X-Force 450 Rancher Chainsaw is amazing. I never owned such a nice piece of equipment. I like the angle of the grab bar so it doesn’t feel awkward. With all the pieces together it cuts through large and small sized easily. Cuts like butter. The job went so fast I couldn’t believe it. The only issue was it’s a tad heavy for me so I just have to be careful when I’m using it. All in all it’s excellent and I’m so thankful for the Lowe’s Loop Program!

Many new features! We love Husqvarna

Wow. This chainsaw has many new features! They did away with the compression release button. They updated to flip up oil & fuel caps & changed the color scheme on plastic molding looking forward to an easy firewood season! Cuts like a dream

Excellent chainsaw

This is a great, well made chain saw. It started up almost immediately after getting the fuel and bar oil in and just 6 pushes of the primer bulb. We purchased the premix fuel specifications for Husqvarna products but they provide oil for you to mix with gasoline. You will need bar chain oil. Long Awaited, Doesn't Disappoint

I've been waiting for this chainsaw to arrive and couldn't wait, once it did, to give it a tryout. First, the shipping was a bit odd as the chainsaw came fully assembled with the guard and chain exposed, although they were protected with a hard plastic guard. Better than Expected

Always bought Craftsman last 2 Craftsman product blower ans 16" chain saw always hard to start and yes I use the expensive canned fuel Bought a Husq lawn tractor 2 years ago excellent no more Craftsman ever, I was on my way to but another Craftsman chain saw decided I would spend a little more and get the Husq 20" Ranger Chain Saw, WOW THIS THING IS AWESOME EXCELLENT STARTS EASY AND CUTS AWESOME Well worth a few bucks more

Cuts great, safey feature broken.

This was my first chainsaw purchase. Had trouble starting so I read where the chain break bar needed to be forward for the saw to start. I held it forward with my hand and the saw started. This is how I used the saw over the next few months, used it three times. When a friend saw me doing this today, he said I should not be holding the chain break with my hand, it should stay forward on its own. It would not do this. Great saw

First new chain saw. Used premix 50-1. Took several pulls to get going. Once running, it cuts great but every now and again, it will shut down when idling. Ran through 2 tanks so might need to tweak carburetor screws. Would give 5 stars but shouldn’t have to adjust carburetor right out of the box. In my opinion, if so, carb adjustment tool should be included.

Not Recommended

I purchased the saw, put oil and gas in it and checked the chain. With in 10 minutes the chain jumped track. No problem, I went to put the chain back on and found the chain guides would no longer fit in the bar. After closer inspection found the guides were damaged. Ok, might have been my fault I might have over look something, so I went back to Lowes and brought another chain. I put the new chain on and made sure all the guides would slide in the bar channel and it did. Ensured the chain ...

Sadly would not recommend

I was very excited for this saw and gave it many chances. I also burned through 4 chains in four uses. Quick story is that the chain fell off after a few minutes of uses, and then destroyed itself on the chain safety. I bought a new chain, tightened it properly, worked great for five minutes, and then the chain fell off again and was destroyed. I took it back to Lowe's to return it. X-cut chain is questionable

I purchased this saw about a month ago and took it up the hill to cut Pinyon Pine for my church congregants. The winter ran long this year and firewood ran short. First impression, the power of the Rancher 450 is quite impressive. The saw is torquey and cuts through logs without issue. It doesn't rev up like other saws I own in the same class [50cc (Echo 4910)], but works its way through the logs all the same.
