Good, not Great

There's a lot to like about the Nest Wifi. Automatic speed tests. Easy to install and extend. "Good enough" configuration options.My problem is that it's difficult to set up smart home devices with it. A sizeable number of devices, for better or worse, require you to be on the same 2.4GHz network during initial setup. Love this wifi

I am in love with this wifi. Its fast and the mesh really works, much better than a crappy wifi extender. Paranetal controls are built in so you can control your devices and even speed test individual devices to see whats going on. I used stadia on my old wifi and it blew chunks, this wifi is lighting fast.

Great at first, worsens over time

I've had my Nest wifi for a little over a year. I started with the router and one access point in my 1600sqft, one story house. At first it worked great, I had absolutely no issues. But over time it seemed as though the range was getting worse and worse. Eventually I had to move the access point closer to the router, so it is now one room away, and add a second access point. Nest wifi

What can I say? It works, internet is fast, allows for prioritization, managing my network without having to be a network engineer. The device itself is very good aesthetically speaking blends right in with any modern home.

New firmware destroyed the usability of this device

New firmware destroyed the usability of this device. Drops connection, resets. Google has been aware of the problem for months but has done NOTHING to resolve it. Save yourself some headaches and buy the Orbi. This thing is trash

Love the speed

Moved into a new home and just had my netgear running my wifi, which is located in the basement. One night upstairs in the living room my speed test showed only 2 down and barely 1 up. I said enough of that and bought the Google Nest Wifi. I turned off my wifi on my router and set up the Google Nest Wifi. After getting everything set up wit the Google router (basement) and one point(Living room), my last test was 200 down and 20 up.

Perfect so far

I've only had the Google Nest WIFI running for a couple of weeks now, but it is working perfectly. Super easy to set up and love being able to check the signal and connection on the app. Super happy with the purchase.

Not like a Google Product

Pros1. Easy to setup. If devices have QRCode still on their bottom, that will make setup even more easy using Google Home.Cons1.If you are using WPA3 security setup , All you devices will get disconnect every time you run the speed test.2. Setup configuration are very limited (like DNS, DHCP...). Due to limited configuration you can't customize it for your need. For example. I have a very less expensive Router, which provides much more configuration

Erratic

Our Nest wifi started off great - we have a main and two additional locations. But lately I have had to reset and the various devices go offline for no reason even when the internet provider (Verizon) delivers as promised. I cannot find any other solution than to unplug and plug again - and if one of the devices goes offline, then the overall mesh slows. The additional problem is that our Nest camera is connected to this wifi so if it goes down and we are away the problem amplifies

I had high expectations of this product. We are a gaming family and speeds have always been something I've tried to get the most out of. Having a high end Nighthawk, I was curious if we could improve even further on that. Enter the mesh wifi. Not a helpful wifi system. Google dropped the ball.

To start with, setting up the Nest Wi-Fi Router and access point was not easy. It took over 10 factory resets just to get through the installation. Most often I would get to the end of it, finalizing the access point and testing the mesh which it said was great, then immediately it would lose connection and the offered trouble shooting steps did not work. - Factory reset. The next issue is the lack of a separate 2.4ghz band. Apparently Google in it's wisdom thinks we don't need one, or at least ...
