Easy to setup, but speed degrades

It is straightforward to set up wifi with this device. However, recently, it started to degrade or drop connection considerably. It is very frustrating sometimes. They also removed the great old app and instead added it to the Google Home app, which looks pretty cluttered now.

Periodic outages

Recently replaced my router given to me by the cable company to the nest wifi and mesh point router. Everything started off great and I loved it. There are some periodic issues where my wifi does not communicate originally I thought it my internet called the company and they said everything looks fine so I am left to assume it is my router I don't want to replace it because I do enjoy the streamlining google has done to make everyone of their devices user friendly but I dislike having to restart...

Terrible connectivity issues

The Nest Wifi system has serious connectivity issues. Starting a few months ago, almost every day, the system would cause our internet to slow to a crawl or stop working altogether for all the devices in the house. This would sometimes happen multiple times a day, and the only fix we could find was power cycling the router and both access points. Terrible Wifi connection

Not the best connection. Too expensive to throw away and wasn’t able too return it.

Wi Fi is working very well. Linking devices has more challenging parts than I would like. However Google Help people have been effectively supportive.

Upgrade to Nest wifi

Upgraded my Google Wifi to the newer Nest wifi. Found out that you have to basically start over rather than plug and play if using the Nest router. Then factory reset the old devices to reuse them. Even reusing the wifi name hasn't made connecting some items work.

Very fast, easy to set up

I installed this wifi router to cover my entire 3 stories house and connected all the smart equipment Nest Camera, nest Guard, nest hub, hub max, smart light etc for smart home, every equipment connection is so good so far and no disconnect at all, even any place of my house download speed over 200 mb.I definitely recommend this product, ( My house is 2,200 sqf)

Good but not great

Its good but drops suddenly sometimes. It covers every area of my home.

Best WiFi we've ever had

It took us about 45 min to get the main router and the 3 hubs set up throughout the house. It's so much faster than our old setup and faster even than my business WIFi (I'll need to speak to my IT person about this). Three out of our 5 children work remotely and could use the system without any perceptible decrease in performance during the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays.

The setup was straightforward and took just a few minutes. The wifi range and speed have been great.

It works but not as expected

I have one router and a point in 1500 sq foot home but WiFi speed doesn’t go above 150 mbps. I have 900 mbps plan but Ethernet speed doesn’t go above 800 mbps. It is easy to setup and it works great. Only disappointment is the speed.

I have been using one for 2 years now and recently bought another one for a friend. The app is very intuitive and integrates nicely into Google Home. The speed isn't the fastest but it's been very reliable. The lack of visible antennas allow it to blend in nicely with all the other home decor. The integrated Google Assistant in the Point is a great bonus!

Doesn't recognize devices like other routers

I love the ease of setup, and the quality and speed of the router. My biggest issue is that the router gives connected devices the name "unknown device" to a large majority, where my past routers have given better names, closer to the brand/model of the connected device, and I was more able to identify devices. With my Nest Wifi, I have a very hard time identifying devices that are connected... Overall, I would recommend this device though.

Wow

This product has changed my life in terms of internet speed and quality. I always used to think it did not matter what router and extender you had. I was wrong. Google Nest is a fantastic product with even better results. I will be buying more Google nest related products in the future!

Excellent coverage, easy set up

The Google nest wifi is very simple to set up. The Google home app walks you through set up and lets you know if there is an issue. In my case, my internet provider had not updated my modem settings. The set up app let me know that there was no internet connection and to call my provider. After that was resolved the WiFi was easily set up and the WiFi points were just as simple. It's always listening

I have the older Google mesh wifi, and ordered this new one, assuming it would be new and improved. Instead, it's listening. I know it has an off switch, if you trust it ^)

Best wifi system I've owned

Really happy with my new nest wifi system. I had a TP link range extender for about 2 years, it did the job but there were still parts of my house that had spotty wifi and since I've been adding more smart devices to my home, it just wasnt able to sustain a reliable fast connection. Since I've gotten my nest wifi I haven't had dropped wifi coverage yet and all my devices are connected. If there were hiccups with connections it was on the devices end, not the wifi.
