Good coverage

Bought this to replace the google hub that will loose google update support at the end of this year. I was able to remove a WiFi booster in the basement as the nest covers the whole house

Solid OnHub replacement

I got this to replace my onhub router with 3 Google Wi-Fi mesh nodes. It was a little tricky to set up, but sure to needing to remove the old network in the home app before I could add the new hardware. Once set up, however, everything works together, and my internet is fast and stable. I like the family friendly features, and it is less obtrusive than any router I have ever seen. Makes me wonder if the primary function of the antenna on most new routers is to make them look like a cool spaceshi...

They don’t work as expected.I do not recommend this product as it was too difficult to hook up.

Outstanding

Upgraded my architecture from a circa 2016 Apple AirPort and repeater that had both 2.4 and 5 gHz freqs. Had a couple dead spots and the app didn’t provide much info - only if the network was active and connected to internet. This system is a huge upgrade and fully integrates with Google Home app (I already had set up for Nest cameras and hubs). Test your network speed anytime and keep a record. Worth it

One of the recent purchase that I’m glad I did, my WiFi connections across all my devices haven’t had any problems since I had the nest WiFi set up. Easy management, security and setup with also comes with google assistant bonus

Got a referral through a friend that this was the one to get. He was right easy setup good security.

Poor performance

The wifi keeps dropping. Mesh system does not work well.Tried reconciling it with online support and Ontech.

Reliable but speed drops over distance quickly

Extremely reliable but speed drops off quickly over distance. I wish the nodes supported wired backhaul for a house like mine that’s configured for a LAN. But even with the speed drop off, my internet experience is faster than my old router that clocked at higher speeds sooooo

Best Internet I Have Ever Had

I have never had a better internet wifi router. Literally doubled my internet speed in parts of my house.

I wanted to love it. I have friends who rave about it. This router and two points couldn’t adequately run any of our devices. I returned it.

It's pretty good.

It's pretty good! However it is a Google product so it does glitch once in a while and you gotta reset everything.

Was hoping for more.

The mesh point keeps dropping offline and has struggled to keep a good connection with the router and I feel I have it as close to the router as makes sense to have another access point. I have had to reboot and restart it multiple times. When running it is great and provides access to the areas I was not getting a good connection before. Mesh is nice not having to manually toggle between access points. Still need to take advantage of the network control features.

Not that impressed with reception

I live in a 2000 sq feet house and have owned the earlier google wifi. Because our modem was placed in a corner of the house, the Wi-Fi always had problems reaching some corners. Unfortunately that is still the case now. I also have a Wi-Fi point.

Excellent

Was using Xfinity modem/router which consistently went out daily. I would have to re-set wifi multiple times day. Xfinity switched it out 3 times and still the service was horrible. Since I switched to a different modem and set up my Nest WIF, I have had no problems. Best thin I ever did.
