Great mesh network would recommend provides great wifi to while house

my daughter just loves it. we put one in upstairs and it works just what I expected.

Nest wifi keep dropping out from mesh

We have 4 nest wifi routers and point. Even the app says connection is good with mesh. They continue drop out from mesh network and not reconnect. It also lack of diagnostics function in the app and not giving the reason why it drop out.

Can use more Ethernet ports on the Wi-Fi nest besides that a great router

keep it close for installation.

I initially tried to set the nest unit up in it's new home upstairs, but it failed three times. I brought the unit downstairs with into the same room with the central unit. From this location the nest unit installed without a hitch. I then moved the nest unit to it's new home back upstairs and I have a great connection upstairs.

nice upgrade for our house/property wifi

we bought the nest wifi with 2 points (and then added a third) b/c the layout of our house - two stories for some, single story for kitchen and mudroom - makes coverage tough. Our offices are second floor front and getting strong signal there almost always leads to weak signal in kitchen. the barn/shop/art studio is nearby and has metal roof siding and that makes getting good coverage there a hassle. but placing a point in a window of the studio which offers a nice sight line to the main ro...

New for us

Our internet company installed 3 for us, and they seem to help a lot by extending our range. We have struggled a bit because we had no written info to help us understand how to use them and what to do when they go off line.

Complicated to setup.

Setup and activating are more complicated than need be.

Good wifi connection all over the home!

I’m glad I bought the nest wifi system. Now I have coverage in my 2400 square foot home (basement, upstairs and even on my deck!). I would recommend this!

Easy to configure but weak signal

I purchased this to cover a few weak spots in my house that my previous router did not reach. It was easy to configure. However, I was disappointed by how closely I needed to put the two units in order to get a good signal between them. Also, I found that my speeds were significantly slower in spots that were previously well covered (and double the speed) with my previous router. The router I was replacing had multiple external antennas, and I think these are important for reaching these spo...

Easy set up.

I added an addition nest mesh point to my original three mesh system. It was so easy - almost plug and play. Thanks Google.

Meh

I have Google fiber and I purchased the Google Nest mesh because it’s suppose to push over 1000mb/s wirelessly and I wanted to take full advantage of my gig connection. On the router I get about 250-400 down/up. The AP’s I get about 120 mb/s so it’s no where near it’s suppose to be. I should have taken them back but here we are a year later with meh Wi-Fi.

Outstanding!

Simply put this is my first mesh network. It works flawlessly, super easy setup. Speeds literally doubled compared to the FiOS wireless router we had. Great coverage going out to the backyard which was the main reason I invested in this. I had some issues where my nest hub maxes and nest audios would become unsynced while playing music which was fixed. And lastly the ease of access to the information such as devices, connectivity, speeds for each device, etc. Great investment!

Love it

Very easy and convenient for everyday use and when you have your hands full to make a phone call, look something up quick or just play music.

Not so good over time

The Nest WiFi started off as a great enhancement to our home but over time it has lost all is benefits. The power I loved when first installing is long gone. I'm disappointed with my purchase.

From our side deck to our garage and everywhere in between. No dead spots in the house. Super easy to set up.

Not worth a single penny for smart home

As per documentation, router 2 mesh should be enough for 3k sqft house but it's totally wrong. Now I have expanded to 1 router 4 mesh which increases the range but because it tries to prioritize, it keeps disconnecting very frequently.

Wish there was better support

Nest wifi has little to no support but if you get support they pass the blame since getting this nest router i used to get and am supposed get 400mbps but in lucky if can get 100mbps. And thats if i dont need to reset because the all my devices cant find the network anymore. I use to have a TP-Link google router the thing was amazing and i had high hopes but its inly been frustrating
