I have used Google and now Nest Wifi for several years and have been impressed with how little I have to tend to it. It's fast and it works.

Make sure your mesh network has good connections

I initially setup my access points where previously I had standard wireless access points connected to ethernet. I found that the mesh connections between the new mesh access points were not at minimum rated good. The access points would reset and lose connection to the mesh network. After much moving around and trial and error I have a very stable and speedy mesh network running over my father-in-laws 7000 sq ft. house.

Started off pretty good for about a week. I have had to reset the point a few times because it stops working.

Works well so far. Much improvement over previous.

I had a started netgear with a wifi extender but it just seemed like ever so often I had to reset the router from my netgear app. Slow network speed on my work computer, TV streams, ... but so far the nest/mesh networking is working well and I've not had to touch it in over 3 weeks. I will look at adding additional devices to the Nest product.

Nest WiFi

Been running with no issues whatsoever since I plugged it in about a month ago. Love the simplicity. 5 stars so far.

Simple, easy and effective

They are simple to set upEasy to control your house once you add other smart devicesEffectively give high speedsThere were a few times when my speeds seemed too slow and it was because the wifi point had randomly disconnected from the main wifi point. A quick reboot and everything was great again.

A LITTLE DISSATISFIED

STARTED OUT WITH GREAT AND FUN FEATURES AND SIGNAL BUT THEN I KEPT GETTING DISCONNECTED AND NOW MY POINT WON’T CONNECT. HAD HIGHER EXPECTATIONS FROM GOOGLE!!!

Google used to be 5 stars and then they removed the wifi button now it 4 stars and descending in value. There are many uses for the wifi button beyond the guest network. I have used it to help adjust the placement of the mesh routers for optimum performance. To grant printer access to special guests etc..... I recently recommended your system to my son in law which I now regret. Sadly I will have to start searching for a better system for the next upgrade.

Stable hardware but glitchy software...

I'm in deep using the Google ecosystem, too deep to turn around, unfortunately. It was very easy and simple to setup the wifi system and my internet speed is quicker than it was before. I recommend it 100%!!!

Connected easily and intuitively but frequently loses connection to one or more of the mesh points

Really like the Google WiFi and the points work great. Much better than purchasing extenders because these work better.

works great

Works as advertised. Nice to be able to add other wired nest routers and points to set up full coverage in a large house. We have 4 floors. 2 Wired routers and 3 points. easy peazy !!!

Strong Coverage Throughout Home

The Nest WiFi was easy to set up and is easily managed from the Google Home app. The WiFi coverage is strong throughout our home. The units (I have a hub point) are easy to hide or make inconspicuous. This is a great product that works as advertised.

Not as fast

Not exactly impressed with the download speeds of this system. I have Att fiber service and recently switched over to Nest wifi from another mesh system and am honestly thinking about switching back. For all the hype i hope google decides to upgrade their customers to Wifi 6 technology.

Easy set up and great signal on all three levels of our home with the additional pods.

Nest Not So Snuggly

Real hassle trying to get Nest router installed. Took 1.5 hours with Google tech support. Then cameras disappeared then reappeared. Never was able to get Nest Mini to connect. Super buggy.
