Best 20 you'll spend

This thing is super useful. I always have a pocket knife, but this thing is a whole new level. Absent minded friends think I'm amazing because of this thing. Fits in any pocket, too, which I love.

The dime is one of the best ideas from Gerber yet! Well made, has great selection of tools, and carries in the pocket or key chain with no effort at all. As soon as I had it in my hands I new it was well made. Good job Gerber!

I tried to use the pliers and put a little pressure on the handle and the spring that holds the handles in line with the pliers bent. If my weak hands can ruin them they must not be much good.

I got the dime for Christmas, and it's been in my pocket ever since. This thing is great, I absolutely love it. The pliers are good and strong. Last night I broke off a 1/4" drill bit in my corded drill, it was broke just below the chuck, and using the dime, I was able to extract the broken bit. I really wrenched down on it too as the bit was fairly stuck in there. The fine blade on the dime came razor sharp out of the box, and with it's 90 degree spine you can strike a ferro rod, but I actually...

DON'T BUY

It looks pretty cool in the photos, but it have very poor quality!! Just received mine, what a disappointment! It looks like second-hand, and not a brand new... Save your money and don't buy it!

Great little tool. I used to keep it on my keys until the metal key ring broke but overall great tool I always find myself using it.

Good

My mom got this for my brother and for christmas, my opens just fine and I use it everyday. Like others said, it can be stiff. My brother's was stiff and the scissors we're literally stuck in the thing. Its a VERY nice tool... just hope you don't get one thats stuck or stiff...

i'll give it a very good rating

The package opener is stiff but not impossible to open with finger nail, I carry this with me everywhere in my change pocket & use it often, has been very handy on long hikes & camping trips. would buy again if it was in front of me.

Better than the small Swiss Army knife. I use the knife blade most. All blades are adequate... Yes, one is hard to open but I never use it anyway. Just got to remember that the size has its positive as well as negative points. Easy to carry in my pocket. Not too big or bulky. Not an overwhelming blade to use for self defense (ha ha). But usually adequate for most of your needs.

Sturdy little thing. I have used my hard for about a month. It has surprised me! I had to sharpen the blade out of the box, but all in all,,, a great tool

Excellent tool. I have the blackout version. Blades are a little stiff but not that you can't safely open them with a fingernail, with use they are getting smoother and easier to open. Scissors are great, package owner is nice and the tweezers are actually nice in a pinch. Bottle opener works well and is great to use to hook to a Key Chain or to run a piece of 550 cord through. The split ring for going on a key chain is weak and really useless. I'll be buying one for my wife and daughter.

Nicely made little tool, very compact and feature packed. The scissors are a bit hard to operate, but cut paper and cardboard nicely. The only negative I can find is the file is very blunt- it's shaped like a nail file but struggles to file even finger nails. My wife saw it and wants one for her hand bag.

I purchased my "dime" a little over 6 months ago. I loved the multi-functions and use the knife, package opener, & pliers the most. Two days ago, I was clamping down on a screw and the jaws broke off of the pliers. I have never had a Gerber product fail me and have contacted Gerber for a replacement. Hopefully they will honor it and this was an isolated incident.
