What Customers Are Saying
The Gerber Dime is a compact multi-tool with a sharp knife blade, useful package opener, and functional pliers and scissors. The Ultimate Mini Tool
This is the best Multi tool for this size I have ever laid my hands on, and you will most likely agree! Again, backed by the awesomeness of the Gerber name, it is a must have wherever you go! It has a great Stealth Like finish and sleek look to it! It is simply AMAZING! Pick up one of these bad boys! You will be glad you have one and own it!

Some of the things that Gerber puts out are iffy but this is a huge home run. That being said the finish will wear off. I kept this in my 5th pocket for along time but now keep it in a pocket organizer as I was worried about losing it (my company washes my clothes for me) it was perfectly comfortable in that pocket. The bottle opener helps in opening it. The tools almost lock in place because the fit is so nice (none in this size truly lock) some people complain that the tools are hard to get ou...

Great functionality for size, but need Titanium
Pliers bent while using normally, would pay more for a slightly larger titanium version. Would like an actual Phillips sxrewdriver

Plier jaws broke
Broke the plier jaws on this little tool pinching barbs on fly fishing hooks - worked great until then.

Perfect EDC
I've had my Dime for about 8 Months now. From Day One, I knew this tool was a keeper. It feels solid in you hand, whether you're using the pliers, scissors, blade, or bottle opener. The blade holds an edge well, and I've never felt like it was going to slip or close in my hand. The Pliers are solid, though the wire cutters are about what you'd expect. The only issue I've had is that the scissors haven't held up. The cutting surface has held up beautifully, but the spring clip has slipped, and no...

Your Title
Good multi-tool however, I'm on my second one cause the screws came loose (even after tightening) and I lost the knife. Was disappointed as it said lifetime warranty but luckily I had it replaced.

Great Everyday Knife/Tool Combo
I purchased the red version of the dime a few months ago & couldn't be happier with it! Much more well built than the Bear G. model (of similar style) it replaced. For some reason, every Mr. Bear G. model I have ever owned seemed to be substandard in quality & durability. I am just being honest, as I have stuck with Gerber knives for over 45 years & always considered them a cut above other blades (no pun intended). That being said, I could not recommend any of the Bear G products. As far as the ...

I love the Dime! Well made, decent materials, looks cool, and a terrific price. Everybody who sees mine wants one. All the tools are very usable, except the file which doesn't have enough bite to be very effective. The bubble package opener is particularly handy and effective. My first Dime was confiscated at the airport because I forgot to remove it from my messenger bag. I loved the tool so much I bought two to replace it!

Great Mini
This tool is killer. I wanted the tactical version because I figured it may have more "options" than the standard Essentials version, but I don't think it does, other than the cool black color. It's built like a tank with a great powder-coat finish that I can't see ever rusting. The bottle opener is a great touch, but makes it a bit difficult to get on a keyring. Also, if you're working in the dark, bring a flashlight, or you will lose this in front of your face.

Just had a little setback
I got this tool for Christmas and I immediately fell in love with it. I don't think I've been without it for more than a day or two. Big thumbs up for putting that beer bottle opener on it. That was genius. And the tweezers were a nice touch too. But today, I was using the pliers to crimp a small wire coupler, and the tensioner piece that holds the pliers locked open or closed, bent. Now the pliers don't work. And it's hard to open and close. I've contacted the warranty repair department, and wi...

Who could ask for more usefulness in such a compact package. If McGyver had carried one of these the show would never have been cancelled. Just another feather in Gerber's larger plumbed hat. Every Gerber I have ever purchased has never and probably will never fail me.........nuff said. I will probably add this one to my arsenal as well. Thanks Gerber for making truly the BEST products of their kind on the market!!!!

Very Good
Surprisingly, the Dime is very good. Not just very good, but probably the best keychain multitool on the market. It's design is nice, its fit and finish is quite good, and its tool selection is the best ever for a keychain multitool. So Gerber can still make good stuff.I really, really like the Gerber Dime.....

Maintenance
A handy little tool, I have the black version. Objections, useless file / phillips screwdriver, tweezers are unnecessary and poorly performed compared to the SAK tweezers. Tools are difficult to open, and the black color tends to be losing from the ordinary carrying in pocket. The good side, I got it pretty cheap on the action, the blade is sharp, tool to open the package is a great thing same as a beer opener. Pliers are in general tweezers, top connects perfectly and replaces tweezers, but not...
