I have an oven that does not hold a true temp, so constantly opening and closing the oven to put cookies in does not help either. This lets me ensure the oven gets back up to temp for perfect baking.

Works great. Using it to check AC temp from vents.

Never worked...

Everything was no hotter than 33*. The freezer was apparently out of range. My 200* printer head was only 26*

Not accurate

I will be returning it for a refund because it is Giving false readings even tried changing batteries but I never knew ice was 106 degree

I purchased this at Lowes Homebuilders, Hunters Crossing, Alcoa TN 37701 I haven't been burned since I got it. Working on farm equipment and hydraulics I was getting burned frequently. A friend suggested I use his for a week. In 12 hours I returned it to him on my way to LOWES! I check the; freezer, refrigerator, and road surface temps as well as equipment I work on. If I were still flying I know I would use it to check wing surface temperatures as well. The Heat Seeker 8:1 is my holster carried...

Will be returning. Temperature was not accurate.

I bought this a couple days ago and will be returning. Seemed to be reading incorrectly so I cross checked with another brand of infrared thermometer and two regular thermometers. This tool was reading 10 degrees cooler than the other three thermometers. I will return and try a different brand.

Perhaps I bought a defective one

The unit I bought is no where near close to accurate! It will read the skin on my hand (should be roughly 90 degrees on exposed skin) at 111 degrees.

Amateur Hour

This is more of a toy than a tool. Readings are all over the place and not accurate. Going back.

Adequate for very general use. Not the best I've used. Would not buy again.

Incredibly innacurate

This thing consistently reads 20 f high. Getting returned.

I've been looking for an instrument to measure temperatures, that wasn't so outlandish expensive. This is that!

Not so good

My particular device was all over the map regarding accurate temp readings. When compared to a known, accurate standard, the device was way off. Boiling water at 158 degrees??? When measuring inside my freezer which measured -1 degree with an accurate thermometer, it provided an ol reading. What??? Fuhgetaboutit.

Not worth the money

This tool is a joke. The temperature reading is not accurate. There is a variance of 20 degrees plus or minus the real temperature. It is not "professional" as the title may imply. I am very disappointed.

Pay the extra money and buy the General 6:1 Pocket IRT 102 model. The 8:1 particular one is not as easy to use and as accurate. You get what you pay for.

Defective

Not even close to being accurate. Is that why they were on sale? It measured 26 degrees in my fridge and it said my walls were 65 degrees with the thermostat set at 74 and the outside air temp is 90. Taking it back tomorrow to get a different one. Hopefully I got a bad one.

Not bad for 19.99

Not as accurate as i would have hoped it to be but you get what you pay for. Fluctuates +/- 10 to 15 degrees holding it still.

Fine Digital Thermometer

I purchased this one since it was on sale. Don't let that fool you. It does the job and with great accuracy. I used the old school thermometer next to this one and it was within one degree of measure. Great one and quick to measure.

Cheaper than HF and better product

The price was cheaper than the "cheap tool place". Better quality product came with a calibration sheet.

FUN!

I bought this as a gift after a friend of mine was shocked I didn't have one (I have a garage FULL of tools). So, it turns out everybody loves this thing, checking temps on any and everything! What a hoot! Be aware the farther from the source the larger the diameter of the area you are checking.
