The Best Wall AC

it cools the room very fast, room size 350 square feet and is very quiet

Cools well but…

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great at cooling, touch display is not always intuitive and the unit runs loud unless you put a weight on it. I had a 10lb dumb bell handy that I have resting on the unit that cuts the noise down but, as quiet as I’d like. Was hoping the unit would allow me to keep my window screen on use to open window on cool days, and that is not an option. Unit works to cool very well however.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] this a/c is very quiet and cools well. big difference in noise compared to a standard window a/c. however when the compressor kicks on the plastic filter covers do make a annoying vibrating sound . i fixed this by applying nylon tape around the edges and seams. now its very quiet. thats why 4 stars instead of 5.

Serviceable air conditioner.

Purchased as a replacement to Midea's U-shaped Smart Window Air Conditioner after their recall was issued. This unit is not as energy efficient. While it's nice to not have a bulky setup like the Midea, the heads on the adjustment screws / bolts scratch / wear too easily on rough / uneven surfaces (e.g., brick and stone). You may end up draining water from this more frequently than anticipated out of concern for mold building up on accessible fan blades / interior parts.

Very quite

This unit is so quiet, was easy to install. I have to get a larger one for a 250 sqf. Room. 8,000 BTU’s is not enough for a 250 sqf. Sun room. Take into consideration for high ceilings.

DO NOT BUY!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First day I had this AC, I couldn’t understand why it made so much noise. Especially outside. I looked into it. Had to take off the outside cover to find that the rubber protective cover around the dryer was not secured properly and the fan was cutting it to shreds. I fixed that and the unit was now a bit quieter. With that noise gone I could then clearly hear how this unit, because of the install design, simply rattles the entire wall. Super a...

Great window unit

It's being used in a small window, which required removing one of the sliding windows to fit. This easily cools our home office, 300 sq ft, that routinely contains 5 computers, 6 monitors and 4 people. Sometimes I am even cold. Loud Unit - Too much noise

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The unit emits a higher noise level than expected, especially when in "PowerSaver" mode, it cuts on and off loudly enough to disturb sleep if it is in a bedroom.

A Win WinOver Other "U" Unit Designs. .

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this to replace a Midea U Unit that was long in the tooth. What attracted me to the soecific unit was that the U was upside down and allowed to a window shade to be pulled down without the inside unit having glass panes on left and right of the unit. I can use a standard shade and get the pro-ivacy and room darkening I desire with no special shades or modifications. Installation was still ledd than straight foreward but a well cut 2/1...

GE Clearview 8300 BTU damaged

Just bought this tonight so I can't give an honest review yet, however after installing but prior to use we realized the item was damaged. The control panel is broken and will not snap into place. In hindsight we should have inspected the unit prior to installation since this unit is so costly.

Doesn't get cold enough.

thermostat only goes down to 64. an 8300 BTU unit should freeze you out of a normal size bedroom. definitely not good enough for a menopausal wife. would not buy again

Never worked

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Was DOA. Drove an hour, bought it, installed it, compressor never cycled on, uninstalled it, drove an hour back to the store, bought a Midea, installed it, it works.

NOT MEANT FOR HIGH HUMIDITY AREAS

This product will give a P1 error code within 10 minutes of turning on. This product is NOT for high humidity areas. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS PRODUCT IF LIVING IN A HIGH HUMIDITY AREA. This product needs to be completely re-engineered to pump the humidity water out or removed from offering in high humidity areas.

Great Design for window but lacks Durability

Very Quiet inside and cooling is great! Outside was very noisy with fan circulating condensation water. Cabinet rusted very quickly and pump that removes inside water failed right after one year. Now I empty a bucket once a day. I love the way it sits low on window and doesn’t block the view
