STAY AWAY for this A/C. GE certainly isn’t what they once were.. I purchased the unit in 2024. At first, I was amazed as to how quiet it was and it seemed to do a great job. I have followed the maintenance meticulously and cleaned the air filter often. The coils are clean. Over the lasted few months I e noticed that compressor hardly ever runs, so it’s essentially a nearly $600 bc fan. Clearview window air conditioner

Very easy to install compared to other window air conditioners and seals up better than any other window air conditioner on the market. Cruels about as well as any other air conditioner on the market. Is quiet but does buzz every once in a while Have to shift it. Where the unit really lacks is its thermostat. It is not accurate in any way shape or form.

The width of your window sill is important

It was a little difficult to get balanced on the window sill but once that was done it’s worked perfectly.

Died after 2 years of seasonal use. Had to replace the interface because that was a known problem but still won't work. Not worth the money, find a dependable company instead.

Stay away

Bought this unit last summer and it has had pro gems from the beginning. Drain clogging, compressor is loud turn on and off and now the fan will not shut off. (Yes it is on auto) the fan stay on super low all the time. When it did work its quiet because the fan is not strong enough to cool the room. Only wish I knew lowes hardware only has a 48 hour window for returns on this product. Stay away

Best design!

The best window A/C that I've owned! I really like that it fits over and below the window instead of the window going between the two halves but the A/C still above the window seal like other brands, it is much better and completely out of the window view! The only thing negative that I can say is that it should go up to 12,000 btu's instead of just 8,300 btu's.

HORRIBLE! Super heavy, 2 hrs to install and it doesn't FU***** work! Fans runs. No cold air.

Both units arrived dented

The A/Cs operate fine and seem to be excellent replacements for the old style window unit A/Cs in our rental properties. So far so good We were able to straighten dents with a screwdriver. Apparently just cosmetic damage. The boxes were obviously damaged. The delivery guys seemed very nice. But at some point in the delivery chain the boxes and units were damaged. I am not looking compensation.
