3yrs old and circuit board gone!

I am utterly shocked that after only 3 years the washing machine has gone completely haywire. I wasn't even using it! I happen to walk by my laundry room and heard a bunch of clicking noises! the interior light kept flickering and the control panel was going on and off like it was possessed! I unplugged it for a few min, turned it back on and tried to see if was ok. well, it wasn't. after it runs about 10 min it shuts off and then comes back on. It randomly changed all the wash settings even tho...

4 year lifespan

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] bought this machine in 2021, it 2025 and it no longer works. its displaying err code 92,39,33,38, and 9. Im told its probably the main control board. this machine costs alot of money and its only 4 years old and shut off when you hit the start button. it was great when it worked

Disappointed mad regret

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Hasn’t even been 2 years and already had to buy a new washer! It reads 10 year warranty on the front which is a gimmick to lure you in. Starts then turns on. Will cost more to fix it than what I originally paid to buy it.

GE Front Loader is Dead

This GE has been nothing but trouble and now is completely dead after just 2 years. GE repair people aren't in the area and the warranty is only 1 year. Don't buy GE, the quality and service is gone.

So bad it should be taken off the market

We loved this washer for the 18 months it worked. After 18 months, the control panel died and wouldn't even work once it was replaced. Now we have to buy a completely new washer. This is an absolutely terrible product and should not even be on the market.

$1,000 Washer That Will Last 2 Years

Got this washer on 03OCT2023 for home use for my wife and I. Used about 2 wash cycles a week not including all the weekends we were away from home. It stopped working almost exactly at the 2 year mark so unless you have AMEX or pay for an extended warranty, you're looking at about a $500 payment in order to have a technician come out to diagnose and replace the motherboard or another critical piece of hardware. There have been MANY complaints about the motherboard and inverter board for this was...

Awful

This is the second time in 2years I have had to replace the control board. It will be cheaper to buy a new machine.

16 months old - garbage

purchased in April 2024 in 1.5 years doesn’t unlock, spoke to GE it’s outside of the 1 year warranty so they won’t provide any complimentary assistance despite this being a set purchase and replacing an outdated machine that i had for 4 years and still works. Replaced door lock, still doesn’t work. Not interested in investing additional funds to find out if replacing main board will resolve. Looking into a different company that actually stands by their products.

Inoperable after just over a year

The appliance was purchased just over a year ago, and I’m quite disappointed to report that it has already developed a serious malfunction, rendering it inoperable. Given the considerable financial investment made in this particular model, I had naturally anticipated a much longer period of reliable and trouble free operation. It is therefore highly disappointing to encounter such a significant failure so soon after the purchase date.

Find another brand

Totally died after 14 months—and cost to fix insane. Not worth it and strongly rec finding another brand.

Decent machine but didn't last long

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had this front loader for approximately 6 years. It has worked well up until now. It handles a pretty decent sized load. Wash and cleans the clothes well . However, recently, there seems to be a problem with the main control board, which is not covered under the 10 year warranty.

Terrible washing machine. Avoid at all costs

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This washing machine is absolute junk. It died within the first year. I would highly recommend that others not buy this product. The control board is shot and it’s conveniently not covered under the 10 year warranty. Save your money and look for a better product.

started breaking every few days

After 20 months with this machine, it broke 3 times within a span of 6 weeks. The machine would start, get everything wet, and then stop, leaving everything soaking wet inside. Parts kept having to be replaced. The 3rd time the machine locked and would not release the clothes inside, and after this none of the buttons or functions would work. it's totally dead, and the dealer/GE refused to take ownership and we had to buy a new unit (from a different manufacturer!)

Do not buy

This is the worst washer we have ever bought from day one it didn’t perform as expected. The noise level is ridiculous. The clothes are never spun to a level to move items to dryer. Never will I buy GE again

Do not buy this washer. The design is bad, the parts fail quickly, and support is even worse

Stay Away.....GE just makes things to not last.

Horrible machine, lasted 15 months. Several techs worked on it and replaced Inverter board 2 times and main board 1 time....still broken. Thought the pump was broken but after bench testing the water evacuation pump is just fine. There is no feature to cancel any of the cycles, for example one of the techs got the machine to start a cycle but instead of completing it it kept on restarting the same cycle and filling more water in the tub.

Main control board went bad in less than 2 years.

Stylish, Large Capacity & Quiet

Has a large capacity, is quiet for the most part and is definitely stylish.

Not reliable

Quit working 1 year 5 months. Can't get a repair person for 10 days to look at it. Your HQ App is inadequate also.
