Drain and control board breaks at the same time. Piece of junk all after they no longe manufacture anything.

Bad Machine

Beautiful machine but this one is a dud! I've had 4 service calls on it since I've owned it just over 2 1/2 years and many trips to the laundry mat. This last call the service company had replaced the circuit board and motor and it still didn't work, they have deemed it non repairable. Do not buy this machine!

Do not buy

Have had this washer for 2 years. right after about a year the washer will not spin on max - only on high. thought first it was the pump but the pump was fine and it didn't change anything after i replaced it. Just today it would not unlock. Was able to unplug the cable and thankfully unload the laundry. Now it will not start a new program. Multiple Issues

We bought the washer and dryer set 2 years ago. We have already had the blower motor replaced on the drier, and the drain pump on the washer. Now the motherboard has gone bad. Wouldn't recommend this to anyone.

Only dependable feature is breaking down

I have had this washer for two years now, and it is so bad I am coming here to review it (while shopping for a new one). Within 2mo of having this it had a faulty valve and leaked water all over my laundry room floor. Repair man came out. Then it stopped working altogether. Repair man came out. Really Bad Washer

Washer main board failed after 1 year. Secondary board failed 2 months later and a month later motor needed to be replaced.

Lemon doesn't even begin to describe this

I've had relationships that lasted longer than this washer. Bought March of 2024, and immediately had problems where this thing was violently shaking-shaking so much that pictures in the hallway fell and broke. It was so loud in the spin cycle that I had to close my office door UPSTAIRS it was so loud. Had technicians come out twice to do a "software" update to fix the problem. It barely made a difference. Please don’t waste your money

I’ve purchased this washer and dryer 2 years ago. It won’t drain the water. We have checked the filter, checked the water pump, the pressure switch and everything seems fine. Just a nightmare. We are buyer products that are not lasting. We are buying products in this country that, regardless of the brand, break down far too quickly. Someone needs to do something about this because we are being shamelessly ripped off.

Avoid, not recommended

I have filed 3 claims on this washer through the Lowes Service Plan in the last 4 months. For this last claim, I had to wait 8 days for a service appointment, and now I was told it will be 2-3 weeks before the parts arrive and I can schedule the next appointment to fix it. Since November, I have had more time with my washer not working than working. I would not recommend this product or the Lowes Service Plan.

Very Disappointed

Purchased this washer just under 2 years ago. Loved it until suddenly 2 weeks ago it began to sound like a UFO or plane during the spin cycle. In hind sight, it probably began to make a little more noise than usual with spinning about 3-4 months prior but it was subtle. All my research pointed to a bearing problem. Disappointing Performance

Cleaning performance is disappointing, especially if the Extra Rinse option is not selected. The filter design is poorly thought out - there is no practical way to clean it without water spilling and creating a mess. For a stackable appliance, basic service access is difficult; reaching internal components requires disassembling the entire top of the machine, which is impractical and user-unfriendly. Stopped working after just 2.5 years.

Not worth it

I love how big the washer is and I can wash my bedding. I have only had the washer 2 years and I’m already needing to call someone to fix it. It will fill with water and spin for about 5 minutes and then say it’s done. It’s been horrible.

Horrible Purchase

This washer is less than 2 years old and broke twice. Once was for not draining properly and second time it needed an entire motor replacement-motherboard was fried (like many others I just read about). Additionally, we chose this washer for the vent reason and it didn't even do that properly. This occurred during the holiday time so it was extremely inconvenient and so frustrating. Never buying GE again

Keeps breaking

We purchased this washer because of the capacity and special features. It has been a real disappointment to say the least. This washer broke less than a year after purchasing it, clothes were staying very wet, and it wasn't draining properly. In order to repair it a second visit was required which was very inconvenient for several reasons. Fried Motherboard After 2 Years

Beautiful to look at, but unfortunately it's headed to the dump after only 2 years. As others have mentioned, the motherboard is fried and it's a costly repair. Won't purchase another GE appliance.

Rotten product

Unit only lasted 2 years be for it broke completely. Would not drain and the repair was more money than a new washer.
