Black Mold

Nasty. Just Nasty. Like others have mentioned we’ve had occasional problems with it not running the spin cycle and clothes are left soaking wet, also the drum always seems so unbalanced. But the straw was seeing what was lurking behind the auto dispense drawer. Our clothes have been “cleaned” using BLACK MOLD for years. The water runs over this “anti-bacterial” material through the mold, into the drum. Immediately switched to a LG upon discovering this.

It has everything but the spin cycle only

A oversized king down comforter fits.. no more laundry mats. It has every setting u can think of. Its only downfall is no spin cycle only... efficiency 10/10 steam 10/10 technology over my head ventilation perfect

Broke completely after 18 months

Completely broke after a year and a half. Replaced motherboard, inverter board, drain pump, vent damper, and door lock. Nothing fixed it, the time and money and having to use the laundry mat often is unacceptable. But nothing can be done!

Lasted 2 years

This machine has been great for two years, but now the drum has become imbalanced so the it hits the walls of the washer creating a loud vibration and knocking noise. This also causes water to leak because the hoses connected to the tub are losing tightness due to extreme vibrations during the spin cycle. An axle bearing noise can also be heard during high RPM usage of the spin cycle. According to the repair company, to replace the drum and any axle parts will easily exceed 600-700. I'm so disap...

More headache than it’s worth.

This washer has been an absolute nightmare. I’ve had to have the front mechanism replaced twice due to leaking. It won’t work half the time and my floor is constantly flooded.

Best Front Load washer

Great features but FAULTY PRODUCT!!

I am so disappointed in this product. After 2 years of having it, the apin cycle does not work. I called support for assistance and was told clean filter and this would fix issue. Initially it did spin, but the next load again soaking wet clothes. Now I have clothes just sitting in there wet. I have powered off and back on, overnight. Turned on and still in the middle of last cycle. The spin cycle just will not complete. The last was lasted me 15 years, I was not expecting this failure after two...

Can't recommend

Very disappointed. Had problems from the beginning. Still develops black mold. Had to replace the water pressure sensor twice and now I need to do it a third time. Leaks water all the time, it's a small amount, but it's annoying.

Leaking always

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have had continual problems with this machine leaking from the bottom. It is very hard to release the drain over flow without making a huge mess. The drain pump has gone out numerous times. I would not ever recommend this washer to anyone.

Not built to last

Purchased this washer unit in July 2023. Lowes delivery service chipped my tile in the utility room when they delivered and covered it up- only for me to find later. As far as the washer, all was fine until this week when it powered up but would not start. Got a bunch of error codes off of it and had to replace the control board at the cost of $500. Could have opted for extended warranty but it can take awhile to get a tech out (several weeks) and you are at the mercy of who they send so I o...

Only lasted 654 days before we had to replace

I can't say enough about what a mistake it was to buy this washing machine. We purchased it in Feb. 2024 and it stopped working in Nov. 2025. The door latch never seemed to work properly. I would often start a load and the machine would signal that the latch wasn't closed, so I would have to lean against the door for the cycle to start. What killed it was apparently something in the wiring housing. We had a repair person out who said this was the 4th same model with this very problem he had seen...

Didn't last long

Find something else!

Just after warranty ran out machine started freaking out. Replaced door switch, inverter motor control board and main control board. Serious circuity design issues. Still needed more parts so I cut my losses and got an LG.

We've had a little over 2 years now...

This washer never really gave me any issues. It started to stink about a year ago. This week, a cycle would start, the just shut off with gallons of water still in it. We figured, the pump must be going already! So we bought a new one, installed it, and it seemed to work. There was SO much nasty hair and lint in the internal parts! I did several loads today after the replacement. Then, water in the washer again! I ran the rinse and spin, and it took care of the water this time. I'm scared to use...

Unreliable

I’ve had this for under two years. I already needed to replace control board and now the back outer tub gasket. My home warranty company refused to repair it and is offering money to replace it.

Great features. Horribly Engineered & Designed

The dispenser tray leaks into the machine and has rusted the internals and weakened the concrete weights that they are disintegrating. The main control board failed and needed replaced. The filter at the bottom started leaking due to a faulty washer and I could not find a replacement. GE only offers the entire filter component assembly instead of the individual unit. It's deffective

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It washes great, simplicity, multiple options, just perfect, I'd give it 5 stars BUT in less than 2 years the main control board messed up. According to research, they tend to mess up quickly.Now I need a new part.

Do not buy this item. It stopped working 1 year after I purchased it and again 10 months later after warranty expired. I wished I had read the reviews first because this is a piece of junk. I agree with a class action suit. The complaints are all the same but Ge is aware of this and keeps selling them.
