Do not buy! Works until out of warranty then fails

We purchased this washing machine from Lowe’s in January 2024, along with the matching dryer, which has performed flawlessly. However, after just 13 months of use, the washer has completely failed. It stops mid-cycle, leaving clothes soaked in water, and refuses to spin. Just out of warranty and needs $700 worth of repai

My husband and I thought we were investing in a high-quality washer when we purchased this and the matching dryer. Only one year and three months since our purchase, the washer is broken and requires $700 worth of repairs. It is just out of warranty so either we pay the money or we will need to purchase a new washer. We are a family of four who have used the washer for typical use. I am absolutely disgusted that we made the investment in this washer only for it to be out of commission so soon....

Breaks after 2 years.

The machine worked fine for about 2 years then broke. GE provides no service and while they sell it as a 10 year limited warranty that mean it is really 1 year. I likely will not buy another GE appliance. For the price you pay they should last at least 10 years.

Great...when it works. Pump died in 11 months.

Loved the machine, the app that goes along with it, the look, etc. However, after 11 months, the drain pump died, and it has an electrical issue. Luckily, this happened at 11 months and not 12, or I would be paying for the fix. Now, it is going to take 2-3 weeks to fix. With three kids and a full-time job, this really impacts my day to day and needed to go to laundromat every few days.

Looks really nice but water leaking after less 6m

Looks great, but its having a problem with water leaking from the bottom front whenever the tub is filling with water. Seal looks good with no holes or tears in it. Not good for such new and mid higher end equipment! Washes ok.

Leaks before 5 years

Had mine just under 5 years, then it started to leak. I'm disappointed. Will likely just replace it since getting it service is so expensive.

Washer broke down already

The pump broke on it already having purchased it a little over a year ago. GE will not stand behind it! Buyer beware!

NOT QUALITY PARTS

I year and 3 months after installation, the main boards need to be replaced. Repairman quoted the cost for repairs is 3/4 of the original cost. This is supposed to be a higher end washer. Very disappointed in this product and would not recommend purchasing.

A terrible machine. Do NOT waste your money.

Just over a year old and this washer has failed. What a waste of money. We were having intermittent issues with the door lock sensor and now it wont start at all because the door lock will not activate. There are no error codes to troubleshoot. The washer will turn on and then will time out and power down. Perfect timing as I have sick kids requiring me to do multiple loads of laundry a day and we are now out of luck.

Defective Product

Buyer beware!! This is a Defective product. The 10 year warranty is not useful at all. Wish I’d purchased a basic washer/dryer set. GE needs to make this right especially since so many people have had and are having the same issue with the pump. Clearly the pump is defective if it stops working with a few months.

Excellent Features

Works Great. Had it for almost a year now. My two favorite features are the automatic soap dispenser and the vent function that prevents mildew.

stopped working well

Our washer isn't even two years old but there is water coming out as what seems to be a slow leak into our pedestal drawer and the fabric softener compartment in the dispenser drawer no longer drains into the washer (or does so very infrequently. My husband has done all of the troubleshooting and even replaced the seal, etc and nothing has worked. This new of an appliance should not be having issues like this when you pay a lot of money for them.

This product sucks

This product sucks, I AM BEYOND UPSET, this is our second washing machine same model. I thought we got a lemon on the first one but nope, the second one’s doing the same thing within three months. Water won’t drain, wash stops within five minutes and says cycle has ended. I’m so frustrated with GE they wouldn’t pay for the second machine and I didn’t want to have miss matched washer and dryer so I went ahead and bought another washer and is already taken a dump on me. These things aren’t cheap....

Stick with a standard washer

Looks nice, but breaks every 6-8 months and expensive to fix. This started within a year of purchase.

Main board broke After 2 years

My wife and I decided to spend more money this time around on a washer and dryer, as typically we go with the most economical option. We ponied up and spent over $3000 on this washer and dryer set - which is a lot for us. 1.5 years in the washer's main board has failed, and the repairman states that parts won't be available until April 1st at the earliest. Of course, nothing is covered under warranty, because the warranty is for motor only, so we'll be looking at a massive bill on top of the ser...

GARBAGE

GARBAGE! I’ve had this washer 2 1/2 years and can’t use it due to malfunctioning. The repairmen just seem to be throwing parts at it. It’s at the point where it would just about be cheaper to replace it. This washer is too expensive to be breaking so soon and the warranty doesn’t cover anything other than the motor after 1 year.

Nice machine

So far this is a great machine. Clothes come out cleaner than with the top loader we had. We would buy again.

Do Not Buy

Bought this unit 4 years ago. Wont spin or drain anymore. The big sticker on the front states a 10 year warranty. Don't be fooled this only cover the motor. No other parts or labor are covered. Its a shame products cant be made to last.
