Hopeful US made is better

Just installed to replace your GFW450SM, purchased new 5/8/19 w/gas dryer and stands. Washer did a great job until 1/22 when I replaced a pump. Washer died last week. Cost to repair made buying new the only reasonable option. I could not use the previous stand. The new one has no drawer and cost FAR too much. Used by two OLD people, the performance of the original washer was very poor. The new better be better!!

Finally a Front loader Washer with no Issues.

I have had top loader washers for 30 years. I read the reviews on this GE product and decided to switch brands. I love it! Clothing is clean even in the quick wash cycle. After 5 months, I have had no issues with mold or smell. The door has been designed to stay slightly open which is very convenient. The dryer cycle works great too if I want the door to be closed. I can start my washer from my phone at anytime and delay start as well.

Terrible Machine

We have had this machine less than 2 years and it stopped working and after replacing major parts we are told it cannot be fixed. Worse appliance I have ever purchased.

Great features, poor manual.

The washer is a good unit with many helpful features. However, the owners manual covers multiple models thus making it difficult to follow.

Works but

I’m glad to have a washer again, it does get clothes clean. It is LOUD though so no running cycles before bed

It makes noise on top with vibration. Overall I like it.

Best Washer

Love the washer and it is the best washer we have ever owned. The anti-microbial rubber ring is by far the best on the market today.

Nice washer. Still trying to understand the ventilation button - and it's a little loud - but it's really nice and we are happy with it.

1 Year of Use and It Failed & had to be replaced

This washer did not live up to the standards we expected. Recently replaced the control board -- $700 for service call and part. The washer then began to make noise when spining. The technician said the shaft was likely bent. Much cheaper to buy a new washer. He recommended LG or Maytag.

Great features

The amount of the load that can be washed at one time. I also like the detergent loading.

GE washer.

Our third GE washer in 35 years. Like the design and looks of the unit. Only issues are the water inlet control valves causing a water hammer in our 50 year old pipes and the auto detergent dispenser dispenses to much detergent for each load.

Does the job very well

Great Washing Machine

I love the features on the washer. It does a great job getting my laundry clean. I only wish it were quieter when it spins. It sounds like it is spinning too fast and is going lift off.

Washes well and has lots of nice features

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love the large capacity of this washer. At first thought many of the large number of cycles would be superfluous, but once we became familiarized with the washer we've found that we're able to take advantage of the various cycles to best suit the types of loads being washed. Really like that the washer cand be controlled/monitored by the app and Alexa. Very convenient. Also, it's a great looking washer.

Washer Missing Features, Delivery Poor

Washer is HUGE with the pedestal. It does NOT have a Presoak function, only a Prewash, which appears to use twice as much soap. No printed manual is supplied so you are on your own to look everything up. You pay that much for a washer, you should get a printed manual. The delivery and installation was ok, but they left immediately and we did not discover until later that they should have reversed the doors.
