Unbalances the LB6500 leaf blower

It's leaf season, and I'm spending hours running my LB6500. I thought I'd use this to move the weight of the batteries I swap in, to my back. Unfortunately, the way the tool is designed makes using it without the weight of the battery impossible, it whacks my hand within three minutes. I do find the backpack useful when using the blower with the gutter attachment, when the total weight is more important than the distribution, but for blowing leaves, this backpack is not useful with the cons...

Fixes one problem but creates others.

I am stuck between giving this product 2 stars or 3. I went with three because ultimately I do like it. I have only used the backpack link with my 650 cfm blower so I can't comment on how it works with other tools. I bought the backpack link primarily for fall leaf cleanup when I need to use the blower for longer periods of time and need to use larger batteries which makes the blower much heavier. Worked for one day

Defective

Brand new in the box, would only work for 2 seconds and shut off. Returned it, no more in stock.

Tools are lighter

The backpack link is designed to take the weight of the battery off your arm and it does that well. I use a 10Ah battery to power my pole saw and edger and it is a big relief to remove that weight from my arm while carrying and using the tool.

Ego's BH1001 "Back Pack Link"

Lowe's has an Improper Description and Nomenclature of this product. The BH1001 is a "Back Pack Link", like an extension. It is not a "Charger". I was familiar with the product so I ignored the description. The product is great. it helps user increase productivity by having their back support the heavy battery weight rather than trying to manage the such battery weight on the tool itself. The Back-Pack extension is easy to use.

Great for long hours of working ! It remove a lot of weight from your hands.

Well made and a real work saver

This is a great ( but pricey) addition to your EGO 56 volt tool line up. I use it with the big 650 blower and the 2410 hedge trimmer. Moving that battery from the tool to your back makes the tools feel feather light and the chord seems to be perfectly placed and just the right length to stay out of the way. Lighten all your Ego hand tools. Easily use the largest Ego battery and go on and on. Well designed and constructed.

Flexibility

Allows me to easily use a big battery for tools like my leaf blower and string trimmer that would be too heavy with the 7.5 Ah batteries.

FRUSTRATING!

Like some others, I can run my trimmer extension for about 5 seconds at a time then it shuts down. A big nuisance. Don't believe this should happen. I did read previous reviews that mentioned this but I also figured the issue had been resolved. Silly me.

Geat addition

Love it males trimming of all kinds much easier. I can now effectively use the edger head.

Battery Pack

It works well nice with the weed eater. takes a lot of the weight off of your shoulders.
