Would RecommendAs indicated in the star ratings, across the board, I gave this little powerhouse a 5. The features: 1.25 HP motor, speed control, spot on depth adjustment, spindle lock, dual LED lighting, and the clear sub-base make for a compact router that is well worth the money. I also own a DeWalt corded drill, a 734 planer, and a 1961 vintage DeWalt radial arm saw, all excellent tools. DeWalt, from back in the day, to 2014 pretty much rocks! Now to address a couple of the other reviews. To Chris in Utah ...
nice tool
Would RecommendThis router did exactly what I expected of it. Not the most expensive by a long shot, but a very capable tool.

Case
Would RecommendIt is everything one would expect. It would be nice if it came with a case or even a bag.

Pretty Good Router
Would RecommendThis is an awesome router, the only problem that I have with it, is that the depth doesn't want to stay were I left it. If you are using it and you touch the top part of the router, or the black spin ring it will throw of your depth. It happened to me a couple times and slid down cutting in deeper than I wanted. It works well if held down low and just try not to touch the black ring or anything above it.

A must have for the "do it yourself" type
Would RecommendThis router is a perfect one handed size router. It has a good light weight, high powered motor which has a variable speed option. Changing bits was a breeze. There is nothing this routercodnt do that a bigger two handed router couldn't (with the exception of a plunge router.)

the clear guard at the base makes it difficult to see the bit at times. but the adjustment ring moves very easily and makes it very easy to adjust bits for the right depth.

Excellent tool
Would RecommendThis is my go-to router for laminate work, edge triming, hinge mortising and inlay work. It's the right size, easy to control and adjust. The built in led lighting is a real plus.
Lowe's Is Not Selling the Kit
Would Not RecommendThe DeWalt 611PK is actually a kit which includes two bases, fixed and plunge. This item does not appear to have the plunge base included, thus forcing the purchaser to go hunting for the plunge base to be able to use the router for morticing and template guides. Lowe's apparently does not sell the second base separately either, so the router is very limited. It is a real marketing error because Fine Woodworking rated this trim router No. 1 in its tool comparison August 2011 issue.
