dewalt routers are a pile
Would Not RecommendI would like to say that these dewalt routers are an absolute pile of a piece of machinery. For instance, yesterday I was doing a dato cut for a tool box and the routing bit detaches from the router and it wacks my cut all to pieces.

Not long term dependable.
Would Not RecommendI have purchased 2 of these routers in the past. Tyey have both stopped working in less than 2yrs. Even though still under warranty, Dewalt charges a $99 service fee plus the cost of any parts not warranted. Would not recommend.

The clear baseplate is a big improvement over my full-size machine, which is black. It is so much easier to see what the bit is doing. I do miss a side handle, but I expect this will not be a problem as I use it more and learn the best place for hand placement.
