Would RecommendAll in all a nice tape measure but should have the self locking feature. Would be a five star if it had this feature. Pros: - Stiff enough to extend quite a distance - Very easy to read scale with large numbers, stud markings and footage marks - 35 ft. in a handheld tape - Very functional end tab - Manual lock works well - Rugged package Cons: - Non-self locking, must use the manual slide - Heavy, but then again it is 35 ft.
Lufkin 35 foot tape measure
Would RecommendI like this tape measure because it’s longer than most in my toolbox. It seems everything I have is 25 feet and the extra 10 feet this tape provides helps with those big projects. There is a large clip at the end of the tape that makes using it as a one man operation much easier. The numbers are large and easy to read. Would RecommendNice, large print measuring tape. The tape is a medium weight metal and seems like it will hold up. The lock is a bit tough but most measuring tapes are.

Would RecommendThis Lufkin tape measure arrived just in time to start working on my dog fence installation. I was able to extend it out almost 16 feet before it folded...VERY impressive! The tip had a nice grip. I love the 35' length, but it is a little bulky and heavier than I'd like. It was also a little slow to retract.

Would RecommendLufkin is a trusted name in measuring tapes. This brand was my choice in my 40 plus years in construction. I really appreciate the limited lifetime warranty. The anti pinch finger control is a great idea. I always preferred the 25 foot tape in every day job usage so the 35 foot seems a little awkward with a more heavier and bulky feel for me personally. Overall it is difficult to find any real issues with this tape measure.

Would RecommendThis 35 inch tape measure holds its shape even at long distances. Its large markings make it easy to read. Especially handy is the 360° end hook. This creative modification allows you to hook the tape under an edge rather than on top. It is hefty in weight as most long distance metal tapes are.

Would Not RecommendPicked this up on a whim. Been thinking about 16' tape. Day one: tape bent and kinked super easy, what sit straight. Just past 2 weeks: the fracture that started from tape retraction at 100mph finally broke and tape wound in on itself. Kaput. This tape is the fastest retracti g tape I've had, and that for the worse. Wouldn't recommend.

Would Not RecommendHad tape for under a year and it ripped. Lowes refused to honor warranty. Besides that worked great for a while

Would Not RecommendThe metal tape stop pinches your skin if you're not aware when retracting and also it's snapped off at the fourth rivet inwards on the tape.
JUNK...not for work usage
broke with in 2 weeks of using in the carpentry field. after a couple of days the tip of the tape twisted. experience tells me it's only a matter of time. I was RIGHT. Not even going to try their next step up!! These are made to break!

Would Not RecommendWithin 1st couple uses, tape flexes and bends while trying to measure and lock does not hold so tape retracts. Very disappointed!!
