The 35 ft Lufkin tape measure is awesome! I needed to measure my driveway and my other tape measure wasn’t long enough to use however the Lufkin 35’ tape measure came to the rescue. The casing is made from a durable plastic, the numbers in the tape itself is easily read (especially good for older guys like myself) and the end of the tape measure is above average in size which allows it to hold onto edges better. Overall I’m extremely satisfied with this tape measure.

Spring broke in 6 months

Im renovatibg my new house abd every project i ebd up buying a few duplicates. Bought these tapes abd the spring on the 25’ broke around the 6 month mark of light INDOOR use. Cheap.

An upgrade for the garage

I really like this tape measure. It is an upgrade to my Lufkin 25 ft tape. It does almost everything it says it does, which is why, although it is a nice tape, I have to hold back one star. Particularly, I was not able to get 12 feet of standout. 10.5' is about all I got, which is good, but it isn't what they advertise. If they hadn't advertised a standout at all, or had only advertised 10.5 ft, would I have given 5 stars, maybe...but I always try to incorporate what is advertised into my review...

large numbers easy to read, but a little bulky

most tapes out there are 25 feet max, this sucker has a 35 foot range. the extra ten feet do make it feel bulky and heavier than what I'm used to. the numbers are large and contrast nice against the yellow background. 16" centers are marked in red. this tape has a pretty good stand out at around 10 feet. Durable Tape measure

This is a solid build. Nice feel in the hands. The cutout on the bottom for your finger to hold the tape from retracting is in the correct place. The tape will extend out over ten feet before it collapses down to give you plenty of room to grab ahold of the item or job your measuring. Heavy Duty Tape Measure

The tape measure is really heavy duty with big bright numbers and markings. Very easy to read has nice features like finger tip control and special coating for durability. The only area I could see for improvement would be the belt clip. It seems to be not as sturdy as the rest of the unit. All in all a great tool that will most likely last a lifetime.

Great tape

Great tape measure. I especially like the grip and large numbers. The end is a 360° end hook so you can measure on all 4 corners. This is a very nice plus to have especially when ensuring by yourself. I only wished the smaller increments were listed. But not pinching my finger is preferred over fractions.

NOT compact, but great tool

So, it definitely is not a compact 35' tape measure, but it is solid. That's the only negative. Well made with thoughtful features. Sturdy tape with large toe, and hole on the underside to use your finger to hold a length out without using the lock. Check the pictures for the over 9' standoff in mid air! Idk if I would want to carry this large tape on my belt all the time, but if you need one for 35', get this one.

Nice Features on the Tape Measure

I like the features on this tape measure. It’s solid, feels good in the hand and rotates well on the clip. What I like about it the most is the additional 10 feet of tape. Sometimes 25 ft is not enough, but you don’t want to bring the big clunker out. Also, I like the bigger and bolder numbers. Much easier to read from a distance. Nice work on this!

The Real Deal

This tape measure is rock solid, ergonomically correct and with features that set it apart. Maintains a rigid line when extended out over 9' (11') is a stretch. The hook is larger than most and makes measuring long boards and from above much easier. Large markings make it easy to read for those of us with vision issues.

Nice tape measure

35’ tape is nice only draw back is the weight of it , I did the 12’ standout test and at exactly 12’ it broke over so that great other then the weight it is a very nice tape measure

35 feet in an easy to handle package

This Crescent /Lufkin Command Control-Pack 35-ft Tape Measure packs it all in, with a easy to read scale and great stand out capabilities. It retracts smoothly on a consistent basis. The only thing I'm disappointed in is the lack of scale on the back side

Light and compact but doesn’t feel durable.

This is a functional and usable tape measure but it doesn’t feel durable. If light weight and compact are your primary concern then this one is for you. However, it seems like they sacrificed a little bit of functionality to trim some weight. It does feel lightweight though and it’s not bulky. It feels good in the hand. So many thoughtful features

I will admit: I am not a pro, but I am an avid DIY’er. That said, this tape measure is absolutely fantastic for anyone who needs a feature packed, well made, highly readable measuring device. The ability to hook the end at any angle is a feature I never knew I needed, but won’t be able to live without. Measuring a board with the tape perpendicular is now a possibility and I love it. Excellent Product

This tape measure met and exceeded my expectations. I had a new job assignment and took this 35 footer with me. I was glad I had this one because I didn't have to put a mark down to go beyond 25 ft. The tape will extend to 12 feet in the air without bending but that is pushing it. 11 feet works great. I really like the feature under the tape where you can hold your finger to keep the tape out or to allow the tape to wind back up slowly. Definitely recommend for all the construction workers...

Really nice

This is a very nice tape measure. It really does go all the way out to 12 feet without bending. The fact that you can stop the tape with your finger and not get pinched is very helpful and I appreciate whoever thought that through.

Unique idea for quick lock/hold

Overall, this is a very nice tape measure - good length, nice metal piece on the end to hold/hook above or below, nice big easy to read numbers, grippy rubber outer, but the big difference here is how you hold or lock the tape measure when extended. Has traditional toggle style lock on the front, which works well when you need to lock it extended for a while, but for faster, easier, shorter holds, it has a hole on the bottom that allows you to just put pressure with your finger and hold it. Solid Tape Measure

Great little, or not so little tape measure. At 35' its longer than the standard, and therefore it is bigger and heavier than standard tape measures. Its got some nice features like the "hooks" on the end. The hook is open with a few more spots to grab nail heads etc. It also has hooks on the top allowing to grab edges upside down and still see the measurements. Solid, with a couple nifty add-ons

What i like: --35 feet vs 24 for my other one. I always seem to want a couple more feet. --the tip has a couple hooks (see the pics) that make it simpler to connect to a point and walk away. Makes some two-man jobs a one-man job. --large type on the tape. Easy to see from a distance. What I don't like: --it's heavy. You'll definitely notice it's there. --while it's wrapped in a rubber-like case, the actual body is plastic. It doesn't feel like it'd hold up well to a good hit.
