Would RecommendThese work much better than trying to split, grind, cut, or drill to remove bolts or fasteners. It really does “bite” on bolts, and gets the job done. I tested this on a lag screw and it worked great for driving it into treated wood. I had found some screws were difficult to place in pressure treated wood, but with the Bolt Biter, it’s not a problem. The hex shank fits perfectly in my battery impact wrench, and also my drill. The hex shank ensures it will never slip in the drill shank. This i...
Great little set.
Would Recommend[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I mean they are but drivers. There isn’t a lot to say. They work great and have enough sizes to be useful for more than just installing roof metal. I used the entire set to install a chimney and it worked great. I’m going to get the apex bit set to go with these next.

Nice set
Would Recommend[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just got this set a few days ago. I haven’t used it much yet, but so far I like it. I have bolt extractors from other companies but these will probably be my new favorites. One unique feature is that these are multidirectional but I’m not sure I’ll ever use any of them as a nut driver. If I have to use the extractor on a fastener, I’ll probably replace the fastener rather than force it back on. Overall, it seems like a good set though.

Exceptional quality and feel
Would RecommendMost of the time bolts that need to be removed are not damaged and a standard socket or wrench will work just fine but every so often a damaged head will present itself . That's where these great tools come into play they WILL fit your damaged bolt and will work. They look very capable and I am sure you can count on them to last. I was suprized to see that this can be added to the Crescent Apex set, I will check this set out the next trip to Lowes.
Great Set!
Would Recommend[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely love these bits! They work great for driving and for extracting and have got a great bite to them. I like that they come ready to click into any crescent but container and how easy they are to click into a driver and click back out. These have a great bite to them and I recommend them for anyone driving different screws and bolts!

Handy Tool!
Would Recommend[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This 5 piece driver and extractor set was a nice edition to my tool set. The 5/16 driver and extractor especially comes in handy for hex headed screws that can easily strip some times. Along with the various other sizes which aren’t used too often myself, but always great to have.

Great Extractor
Would RecommendI have finally found a bolt extractor that really works as advertised. I used it to extract a 1/2” nut on my tractor that I have tried to remove for some time with no luck. With in minutes I was able to remove the nut with no problem
Extraction Tool for Bolts
Would RecommendThis tool is great for bolts that have become stripped. They have special rounded points inside the bit that allow it to grip and remove a stripped bolt. I used this extraction tool to remove a strip bolt in a car engine. A must have for your toolbox !
Good set
Cresent Apex set is great for bolting down bolts or bolt extraction rusted or new I really like the set comes with 5pc 1/4 5/16 3/8 7/16 1/2 most common bolts , I used my impact to screw and unscrew bolts great set
Quality
Would RecommendThese are great quality. Husband already used this on the lawnmower deck and son used on his older model truck while doing some repairs. He said it works MUCH BETTER than the wrench and hit it with a hammer method.. They neither had a problem using these and it’s very handy to have. The little plastic piece is nice for keeping them all together too.
Another quality Crescent product
Would RecommendWhether it's a rounded bolt head or nut this extractor has 5 of the most common sizes to handle the situation. Impact driver rated, these 'Bolt Biters' make removal quick and easy. A welcome addition to my tool box.
Great Tool
Would RecommendI've waited for a tool that I could rely on and it has arrived. These extractors are great for removing damaged fasteners! If the edges are "rounded" the extractor will still bite and remove the fastener! They come in a handy holder, (see Pictures) and are replaceable if they happen to get broken! Again a great tool by my favorite store Lowes!
B-Hyve XR Smart Sprinkler Timer : 16 stations
Would RecommendThis I an excellent watering timer/valve controller. It is very easy to install. It has very clear directions. The app that controls it is very easy yo use. I use a link to it from my Google Home and can command vis Google Assistant. I cannot think of any drawbacks to this unit.
Tight grip!
Would RecommendSo I used this to remove a stripped concrete bolt from a patio cover I installed. Worked with little effort. It easily got a good biting grip on it so I could remove it and replace with another bolt. Definitely recommend these!
Quality item
Solid pieces, they are built to last. Common sizes will extract damaged bolts easily. Good with impact power/impact drivers. Looking forward to many years of dependable use!
Apex Bolt Biter
Would RecommendThis 5 piece bolt extraction set starts at 1/4 and sizes up to 1/2”. They are impact wrench rated. Does a great job of removing damaged head bolts. Designed to really grip the bolt head. Has a 1/4” shaft. Works great on rusted bolts. Don’t think you can break them.
Best I have ever used...
Would RecommendI have tried/used a number of different types of bolt extractors, maybe 3-4 over the years. As you will see from the photographs you can imagine there must have been hundreds of rust/frozen bolts when I started the restoration of a 1928 Chevrolet. Some extractors worked better than others, but none worked as well as Crescent Bolt Extractors. What I don’t quite understand is the “why”? Most of the other bolt extractors seemed to have sockets that would also bite into the bolt in order to extract ...
Works Great
Would RecommendThis Bolt Biter is just what it says, it is for removing damaged Bolts and damaged Nuts. I didn't have any to try this tool on so I had some screws that had rusted out heads. After getting the screws out enough I was able to get the Biter on the head and unscrew the screw. It worked great but it would work greater on a bolt or nut. Very easy to use.
Apex Bolt Biter
Would RecommendI put my Apex Bolt Biter bolt extractors to a test and was very satisfied with their performance. I’m in the process of dismantling a deck at was installed 20 years ago. With the deck screws being 20 years old the Phillips Head slots were very rusty and hard to extract. I thought I’d try the Apex Bolt Biters on the stubborn screws. I selected the proper sized bit socket and set my impact drill to reverse where the socket immediately grabbed the rusted screw and backed it out with ease. I’m h...
Unique design
Would RecommendThese BoltBiters are actually rounded and tapered on the interior. They are designed to “grab” portions of rounded bolts and nuts. The 1/4” shaft makes them compatible with impact drivers, drills and even electric screwdrivers. Their “apparent” lack of depth as depicted with the rusted nut, allows for tighter fit with rounded corners.
