Great multi-function tool.

Strong performer. Easy to start. All of my Troy Bilt attachments from my failed power head fit the craftsman model.

With most brand outdoor equipment get a warranty.

So far it has been excellent. I have used it 3 times and it has worked just like the directions showed how to operate it. Lets see how time tells but with previous craftsman products before they have been pretty good. I think with any power equipment you get it would pay to get the warranty. I have 3 different manufacturer products i am using all with warranties and in the past have used all 3 warranties at one time or another. So lets wait and see how this one does.

Craftsman weed trimmer first use.

Packaged well. Instructions were easy to follow and understand. First start was hard spent about 6-7 minutes getting it started. Then it only ran for about 5 seconds and stopped running. After 3 rounds of this it ran as it should. I have a large yard and after approximately 15-20 minutes it bogged down a bit.

Garbage. Do not buy

The first one I purchased in 2024 was returned after a month because the drive shaft would not work... My 2nd one now will not pull. It worked 2-3 times in 2025 and now the entire pull string will not pull out.. Will never buy this garbage again! Go with a better company!

Works great!

I decided to purchase this trimmer after reading the reviews. this trimmer has a lot of negative reviews saying it works out of the box but not long after using it it bogs down and stalls. Make sure you read the maintenance schedule. It says after 10hours you need to adjust the valves. great trimmer

Not your Dad's Craftman Power Tools

Mistakenly, I ignored many of the reviews and purchased this unit. After roughly 5 hours of use it shut off while using. After checking gas, oil, air filter and other items it will not start. EXTREMELY DISSAPOINTED AFTER the money that was spend!!! Didn't get 90 days out of it...

WS4200 Weedwacker

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] 2.5 stars would be fair because of the positive elements. Pros: 1. great engine so far, powerful, and 2. brush cutter attachment (sold separately) works great. Three negatives: Cons: 1. lost air filter cover during third use in the brush, but the sponge filer stayed in place - I rigged my own cover when Craftsman wouldn't replace it. 2. terrible ergonomics, especially with heavy engine (poorly balanced), and 3.. string trimmer head gave out a...

NO words can describe how trash this is

If Harbor Freight sold trimmers this would be it. The oil cap threads are not perpendicular to the cap, leaving a gap for oil to leak. The recoil skips only getting you 1/4 pull on a full rope. Hard to start, excessive vibration/out of balance engine when running. 30yr small engine mechanic. This is the worst one trimmer yet, trying to repair for a friend.
