What Customers Are Saying
The product performs well for cutting smaller diameter PVC pipes up to 1 inch, providing clean, straight cuts. However, it struggles with larger pipes 2 inches and above, often crushing, shattering, or failing to make clean cuts. Durability and longevity are major concerns, with many users reporting the cutter breaking or becoming unusable after just a few uses, even on smaller pipes. The overall quality and reliability of the product seem inconsistent.

Would RecommendFits easily in my tool bag. Not for the professional. Works on thick wall PVC, thin wall drain piping crushes pipe. I used it several times and kept getting an angle cut on my pipe. I even used my left hand thinking my right hand was causing it to cut at an angle. Not the case. The clam shell starts to open due to the pressure which causes the blade to twist causing an angled cut. I would recommend this because it is a clean cut without all the plastic "saw" dust in other cutters. So if inside o...
great product
Would RecommendThis came along with a new wrench and was part of a learning process for me to care for my house.. Its not as easy at first to grasp but the friend showing me how to use it helped. I am really proud that I am now able to cut a pipe my self. Thanks as always Lowes for making life a little easier with great product
well designed
Would RecommendFirst time I had ever used a device like this to cut pvc always used a hack saw. At first I tried to cut holding pvc in my left hand and was a little hard then I clamped the pvc and got great results and straighter cuts. Handy fold away blade to remove burrs. Unit had a great feel in my hand.
Very nice
Would RecommendI was somewhat impressed. Over the years I have used a multitude of these and I believe this one goes to near the top of the list. Just the feel of the tool in your hand says "top quality". Very easy to use. The only problem I had was that it always seemed to cut crooked. Just a slight angle and not enough to matter when gluing fittings on.
2-1/2-in PVC Cutter
Would RecommendI made a few cuts in some PVC Pipe and had NO PROBLEMS with this tool! It cut through the pipe with EASE and NO BINDING either. Cut through with EASE like it was butter. If I had to do a pretty good size job with PVC pipe I definitely would suggest this product because of it's EASE to use. As with all products purchased IF you have a problem it's always GOOD to ASK the store if this was a normal" occurrence IF you had a problem! We LOVE Lowe's for sure!
Junk
Would Not RecommendThis will not cut 1 1/2" sch 40 PVC as specified. Junk inferior product! Don't waste your time, buy the rigid brand one

Not worth it...
Would Not RecommendI bought this because it said it would cut 2" PVC pipes. Apparently it doesn't, since it broke the first time I used it. Instead of cutting the pipe, it just bent the PVC until the cutter snapped off. I bought this cutter to help me quickly fix a problem, but it ended up just adding to the mess.
