PVC Cutter - where has this tool been?

Love this tool, soooooo much better than a hacksaw! Well worth the money! A great time saver!

Works perfectly

Smooth cuts

Junk, not cobalt, just blue.

Blades bent on 9 cuts.

Not the quality I expected

The first time I used this cutter on 1/2" pvc the blade edge got a big dent in it. The handle action on it worked great, applied adequate pressure to cut through the pipe I needed but the blade dented too easily. I was not impressed.

A one use tool.

O.K. so maybe five. I cut five pieces of 2" schedule 40 and the ratcheting part of the blade broke into 3 pieces. I figured I'd just order a new blade. After disassembling this and seeing the poor construction I decided not to spend another dime on it. Don't waste your money.

Large PVC Cutter - up to 2-1/2”

This jewel has made cutting smaller PVC so much easier and quicker. I have used it on PVC up to 1-1/4” so far and it is great. I recommend you get one of these to replace the smaller ones even if you don’t plan on cutting any PVC over 1” ID.

Do not buy!

Item broke after 1st cut of 2” pvc. Would not open back up to cut another piece of pvc. Main pin is bent (slotted screw in photo center) after one (1) cut. Going to return to Lowe’s or to mfg.

Suitable for half inch pipes, but not 2 inch pipes

We purchased this to make precise cuts of a combination of half inch and 2 inch PVC pipes. Unfortunately, cutting the 2 inch pipes were hit and miss. The first one we bought was defective - wouldn't cut at all. The second one we bought was also defective - the blade was bent and it started cutting itself, with the blade chipping. Great cutter

Has a good compression ratio per squeeze. Not had on your hand.

Good tool for cutting PVC

I was skeptical that it would work well cutting PVC and it was priced a bit higher than I wanted to risk. But I am happy to say this tool cut PVC pretty well. I would have given it a 5 Star rating but the cut is not perfectly straight. It is still much easier than cutting with a hacksaw.

Good, but not great

Easy to use with good construction. Produced a nice clean cut. I was cutting 2" pipe and it was a little more difficult. Not sure if it was the cutter not being sharp enough, or the pipe being a bit malleable. With pipe that big it struggled a little.

We bought this to cut a 2" pipe. It was hard for me (a 47 year old female)and by daughter ( she's 18) to push the handle once it started cutting into the pipe. Also the blade broke at the tip after using it the first day for several cuts.
