Very disappointing!
Would Not RecommendI've always had Hoover carpet cleaners which have worked great. Since I was going to be at Lowe's, I looked at this Bissell XL. It claimed that because of the tank size, you don't have to empty and refill it as often. As often as what??? I had to fill it 6 times while cleaning an approximately 400 square feet of carpet. I had to fill it twice just to clean my 9x6 area rug. I bought it yesterday and will be returning it tomorrow. It does clean well, so I gave it 2 stars instead of 1 star.

Would Not Recommendused it 3 or 4 times and as soon as you put the tank on water shoots out the bottom without pressing the handle. Contacted bissell and they sent a replacement, then it went bad again. they determined there's a bad valve/ pump and sent me a new one. So now I'm on my 3rd pump valve replacement. Works for a few and then it starts leaking. I've managed to modify an old one and get it to work. it's hard to find parts, and for anything that isn't basic you have to contact Bissell to get anything. ...

Suddenly leaks tons of dirty water
Would Not RecommendI bought this about a month ago. It does a great job of getting stains out of carpet however, at any random moment, the dirty water tank leaks out all over the place. I was mindful that this could happen if it got too full and I was watching and it was about half full, after the first time I was burned, and the machine just blew its load all over my carpet. I don’t trust it. This is awful.
